1978 was the last year of the Z car first generation, in 1979 they became ZX's. The car has always been garaged. When I bought it in 2011 I had the frame rails redone--they had some rust--had the heater fixed, changed to 15 inch Rota wheels and Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires, they have about 6,000 miles. Changed the plug wires and that was about it, the original owner babied the car and I've continued that. It only gets driven on dry sunny days. It's always burned no-ethanol gas. The automatic transmission in a Z is unusual, and makes the car available to everyone since not everyone can drive a stick in this day and age.
