Description of 1976 Datsun Other

This is a 1976 Datsun 620 pickup in all original paint and condition. It was purchased from the original owner who passed away by his handicapped neighbor. The truck had been stored in a shed in Moreno Valley California where it had been it's entire life. It had a shell on it since new which preserved the inside of the bed nicely. The second owner had Multiple Sclerosis and his plans were to restore the truck but his medical condition progressed more rapidly then he had planned and he became wheelchair bound and unable to work on the truck. He did put brand new tires on it. replaced the carb and all four brake cylinders and hardware. The truck seemingly runs and drives fine. although I have only driven it about 30 miles since I bought it. I bought it from the second owner for my son who turns 16 in 4 weeks. My neighbor here in Tucson has an immaculate. all original 1974 620 all original pickup that my son has grown up adoring and so he always wanted one when he began driving. Well. when we got this one he and his buddies got in it with all their basketball gear and were very cramped so he changed his mind and wants an old Ford full size pickup which I already bought for him so this little Hustler needs to go. It's a great start to a project or can be driven as is if you like. The body has some rough spots. but everything on the truck is fixable with a little bodywork. There is rust on the bottom of the passenger's door and fender. moderately heavy scale on the floors but only one tiny hole in the floor on the drivers side. The truck had a shell with a pass through boot attached and the boot trapped water over the years and there are two spots on the rear pillars by the rear window that will need to be fixed. Otherwise the undercarriage and rest of the truck is rust free. The inside of the bed is in outstanding shape. The interior is rough and will need TLC but everything is there even the original jack and radio. The radio crackles when you turn it on and will get some stations. Original floor mat still in good shape. All glass is good. Engine starts right up and runs strong with no smoking or leaking. Goes through the gears smoothly including reverse. Tracks straight and drives nice and tight. Odometer is only 5 digits and reads just under 75k miles. There is no way of knowing if this is original or if it has rolled over but it does drive tight like a low mile truck. All lights and turn signals work. horn works windows all roll up and down. Ignition switch is a little funky but works. Original hubcaps in great shape. These little trucks are getting harder and harder to find in good shape and when restored are bringing $8-10K here on eBay. This one is priced low so it would be a good one to consider if you are in the market for a project and like the old Datsun trucks. Reserve is low so bid to win.
