I purchased this Delorean in 2017 and made the following upgrades at a cost of nearly $9,000:-New clutch w/new pressure plate, clutch disc, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, and rear main seal.-New shift linkages and cross gate cable assembly.-New chrome hardened axles flanges w/seals.-Converted to R-134 from R-12, including new compressor and all lines, pulley system/belt, evaporator, orifice tube, accumulator, front air distribution housing, and lower pressure switch.-Installed ceramic window tint so the AC system doesn't have to work as hard in the summer.
In 2012 this car was upgraded to a Delorean Stage II package from DMC-MW; producing 197 crank hp which is an improvement of about 70hp over stock. That upgrade included the following: New stainless muffler, catalytic converters, headers, heatshield, DMC etched exhaust tips and brackets. Also includes fresh air intake, lambda sensor, ignition coil and K&N air filter. Bosch silver tip spark plugs, sparkplug wire set, distributor cap and rotor, ported and polished heads (combustion chamber matched), camshafts with Stage II spec profile, 6 new injectors with seals. Parts replaced as part of the install process also included rocker cover gaskets, cylinder head gaskets, timing cover gasket and seals, intake o-rings and manifold gaskets, water pump bypass and heater hoses.
The seat covers, headliner, and carpet were replaced around 2014. The trunk was extensively cleaned and repainted around the same time. The dash and binnacle are both intact and in great shape, no cracks. Other improvements include a modern bluetooth headset w/upgraded factory size speakers, all new piston lifters for the doors and compartments, LED light conversion in the instrument panel and doors (so you can leave them open at car shows), upgraded window switches w/alignment panel, one-piece speedo cable for reliability, and other small and thoughtful improvements. A box of spare parts accompanies the car to its next owner.

I would not hesitate to get in this car and drive it across the country today. I have taken it on several multi-state trips over the past few years and the car has not complained. Family changes force the sale earlier than I would have liked, but I would rather this car go to a new owner than sit in storage and degrade alone.
