Description of 1936 DeSoto Airstream |
This vehicle is a perfect project car. I bought it ~8 months ago. it was running and the brakes work. It looks like someone tried a rather amateurish restoration. Body has very little rust. floorboards are strong. Interior needs a complete restoration. but there are bucket seats in front and a nice fitting seat in the rear. The windshield has been pasted in with looks like butyl rubber. The right passenger door is missing the interior panel but the window is in the vehicle. I have quite a few tune-up parts that go with the car and new truck hinges and a vintage radiator badge. I also have new hoses for the car. Nice looking old gangster car with suicide doors. I was told that this car was originally an Arizona car so the body is in good shape. |
