Description of 1947 DeSoto Custom Convertible

Up for auction is a 1947 Desota Convertible that I am listing for a friend . It is being sold with No Reserve. It is a restoration project that has obviously been in storage for quite some time. Its a 6 cylinder with a fluid drive transmission. Overall it looks like a pretty solid car. The frame is solid and the floors and trunk look solid. The doors and hood and trunk open and close nicely. It appears to be all original and is complete. The engine appears stuck. We did not try to turn it over and the starter does not spin. The rockers both inner and outer will need some rust repairs. Also the right rear quarter will need some repair along with the lower rear wheelhouses. Also some work on the fenders and doors. The car rolls around fine and the parking brake works. Some of the glass is nice and others will need replaced. It has a Pa. Title in the owners name that must be transferred into your name.
