Description of 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Laramie Cummins Diesel 12V

This is one of the nicest 2nd generation Ram Cummins 12V around. I am generally reserved when it comes to over stating the condition of a vehicle but this truck is that good.
This truck represents a original, ust free, alifornia truck with 62k miles, araged its entire life and only used a few times a year on camping trips and pulled a 1 horse trailer once a while. Going over the records and talking to the owner, the truck would be taken in for a oil changes and check up with only a few hundred mile traveled since the last oil change because it sits in the garage for months at a time and she wanted to make sure everything was okay before her next long distance drive.
This was how it was when it came out of the original owners garage. It wasn't steam clean or polished or detailed. There is absolutely nothing that this truck need to hide. There is a bit of dust and grim here and there and the new owner can decide how the truck should be presented.
This truck will come with a 1 inch thick folder with every record since day one, ncluding option sheet, indow sticker, redelivery inspection, very service organized in periodical order.
I will describe the condition of the truck to the best of my ability: I was in the automotive industry for 15 years and have a good baseline for evaluating a car. I welcome potential buyer/s to inspect the vehicle in person. I can help with shipping and handling on my end.
Cosmetic condition:
- Original paint still shines like new. No clear coat fading or peeling. A few tiny rock chips on the front hood area and on the bottom of the rockers.
- Zero rust or corrosion
- Minor scratch marks on driver's side bumper plastic ( picture provided)
- One quarter size ding on the rear bumper.
- Seat covers where purchased from the original selling dealership and installed for the entire life of the truck. The seats shows close to new.
- No cracks on dash, o major blemishes on the interior.
- The camper shell is a Guidon Renegade and was installed in 9-1994. The paint was color matched to the truck and was done to a very high standard. No paint fading or clear coat peeling on the camper shell. This was $1,500 at the time.
Mechanical condition:
- Engine starts right up and maintains a steady idle. Engine does not smoke, as good power and performs as it should under all conditions. To understand how "new" this engine is, he last oil change was done 3k miles ago and the oil only has a light brown tint to it and as clean as a gas engine's oil would look. Generally diesel engine oil would turn black shortly after a oil change due to blow by ( I was a German tech and worked on Mercedes and VW diesels ranging from the 1980's to late 2000's. I don't remember seeing a older diesel that didnt turn the oil black instantly). This is a true testament to the care that this truck was given and how gently it was used.
- I will change the air filter, ngine oil and filter and fuel filter replaced before the new owner takes delivery. These items were previously done approx. 3k miles ago.
- Transmission shifts positively in all gears under all temperature conditions. There are records for serveral transmission services during its life. The truck never pulled anything heavy and most of the miles were accumulated on the freeway.
- Everything works on the car from cold AC to power windows and power mirrors. The only thing that I noticed of fault is the cruise control button on the steering wheel feels loose, ut it works fine and looks fine.
- Suspension is tight and handling feels confident.
- Brakes still have plenty of life left
- Tires are Micheline and has 60%+ life remaining. No cracking or dry rotting.
- Truck has a nice smooth ride.
