In 1970, he Dodge Coronet/Super Bee twins got an all-new look, nd the horsepower was still as strong as ever. This cool 1970 Dodge Super Bee tribute wears it well, ith a fantastic paint job, uilt 440, /C, nd a ton of new parts. The new look lent itself to bright colors quite well, nd while Top Banana isn't this car's original hue, t should have been. With a high-quality makeover just a few years ago, very square inch was covered in the handsome light yellow paint and when it was dry, t was buffed and sanded to a nice shine. Of course, hat was a few years ago, o it's showing some signs of use, ut the quality stands out on this one, ven after the fact, ith a lot of folks mistaking it for a fresh restoration. Correct black C-stripes were fitted to the quarters to give it the right Super Bee credentials, long with matching black hood scoops and a Go-Wing out back to complete the outrageous look. With a black vinyl top, t looks sleek and totally a child of the muscle car era, nd even today has a vibe that will make guys at the stoplight next to you think twice about having a go.The black interior is just as nicely done and tastefully mellowed as the paint, ith upholstery that's nice enough to be recent but broken-in enough to possibly be original. The coolest trick is the addition of late-model gauges to the original dashboard, seamless modification that makes everyone do a double-take. A/C is fitted in the dash the way the factory might have done it, ut it's now backed by modern hardware so it's reliable and easy to service in the future. The column shifter isn't terribly exciting, ut you do get the practicality of bench seats and many of us have forgotten the simple pleasure of all that space. Nice carpets are protected by embroidered floor mats and there's a great-sounding Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo system neatly integrated into the dash. The trunk covers the basics, ith a full-sized spare and a jack, long with a fresh mat. What the Super Bee was designed to do was go fast, nd thanks to the built 440 under the twin snorkels, his one is insanely good at it. Topped with an Edelbrock intake manifold and 4-barrel carburetor, t snarls and barks, ith cackles on the overrun just like you remember. Hemi Orange paint practically vibrates against the satin black inner panels, nd a full Mopar Performance dress-up kit gives it the proper high performance look. It appears that most of the hardware is new, ncluding the dual master cylinder, /C compressor, nd Accel plug wires and coil. Underneath, t's built for durability, hanks to a TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission and a nicely detailed rear end. The floors are as nice as the bodywork, he dual Flowmasters give it a nasty sound, nd they didn't miss much underneath when they were putting this one together because it's all in fantastic shape. Gorgeous Magnum 500 wheels wear fat 255/60/15 white letter radials.Good thing it's fast, ecause there's just no sneaking around in this high-profile Dodge. Call today!
