Description of 1989 Dodge Dakota CONVERTIBLE |
1989 Dodge Dakota Convertible 4X4 pickup. Very limited production of 3. 58 units in 1989 and 1990 (7 in 1991). don't know how many were 4 wheel drive. auto with cruise control. 125. 00 miles(believed to be accurate) and driven only 13. 00 miles in past 8 years. Truck runs reliably. Automatic with shifter on column (P. . indicator doesn't move from P-park). Over $4. 00 in receipts during ownership includes brakes and wheel cylinders. new catalytic converter. new A/C compressor/condenser (doesn't currently blow cold. needs recharge). new engine control computer PLUS $800 in new tires with less than 100 miles on them. PLUS Trans rebuilt about 4 years ago. Body very solid except for as noted. Dashboard has custom fit plastic cover. Bed has old bedliner. Power windows work fine. power locks don't work. Stereo works OK. You will get people checking it out all the time. even "as-as" or would be a great restore project. This is my pride and joy but I'm forced to sell. IssuesBoth rockers have some rust. one minimal - $38 each at c2cautoparts onlineOriginal roof is functional as-is but is due to be replaced - $219 at topsonline. Looks like easy install. Interior seats decent. carpet is below fair I tore up passenger side to check for rust. carpet is $109 at stockinteriorsBody dents as shown. a "paintless" dent guy once quoted $200 to fix door/rear panel dent. I have never used 4WD. my mechanic indicated. if used it may need new right front axel (about $300)Please review photos and ask questions. Accurately described and sold "as-is" |
