Up for auction is a 1970 Dodge Dart 340 clone. This is one of the best driving mopars I have ever owned and it will flat out scream. goes down the road real nice and smooth with no vibration like most older cars. The suspension has been up graded to the 73 and up style front end K member with disc brakes the car handles nice and firm with no sway. The rearend is a custom built ford 9 posi unit with 3. 90 gears. The body in paint was done in 2004 still looks pretty good. was done in ppg dbc base clear. The interior is really nice just needs new carpet seats have no rips and dash ect are in great condtion. The car was restored in 2004 it is actually a 72 scamp that was restored to a 70 dart it only had 79. 00 original miles and is a factory 4 speed car still have the pedals there. The car still looks good needs a new vinyl top but other than that car looks great. Does have a dent in the front valace and a rust spot on the back lower quarter with a scratch see pics. Now for the good part. in June of this year had a 360 built to make this a screamer. The bottom end has a 3. 58 stock stroke cut . 10 under h beam rods. 30 over Keith black pistons 10. 5 to 1. The crank. rods. piston were all balanced also had a mopar windage tray installed with mopar hi volume oil pump. The heads are 587s worked by Indy with the larger Milodon race valves 2. 02 1. 60 and has a comp cams mutha thumper cam with comp cam adjustable timing chain degreed in properly with 1. 5 mopar adjustable rocker arms. SD billet distributor. digital MSD ignition box and a edelbrock air gap intake. sounds real good has just a wicked lope to it and yet with the high duration still makes a ton of low end power with this split duration cam. I was very happy with it. The engine build was $5500 alone not including all the other parts and drivetrain. It is an excellent street combo. engine made 412hp and 437lbs of torque. Also has headman ceramic coated headers with 2. 5 exhaust system with flowmaster mufflers. The trans is a 727 with shift kit and a 2800 stall convertor. This is a well thought out combo not just parts slapped together. the car runs out nice and is a pleasure to drive. I put 500 miles on it then changed the oil for breakin and now has about 800 miles on the complete drivetrain. You can turn the key and drive this one home if you want. even on hot summer days it never got over 180 stays nice and cool. The temp normally stays 160-170 and oil pressure cold is 80psi and warmed up 60psi. The car is smooth as can be no vibration even at high speeds like most older cars. The car has powersteering and powerbrakes and all guages. lights and wipers work except the speedo I left unhooked when I put the new combo in because it read wrong with the 3. 90 gear it has now. I have the heater and ac assembly. I took it out cause I only drive it in the summer but if you want to make it a daily driver I will include it.
