Description of 1948 Dodge Other |
This is a 1948 Dodge D24 Sedan, our door, ith rear suicide doors. This vehicle is not running and is in need of restoration. It comes with the original engine anddrive-train, long with another flathead six out of another similar car. It also come with a spare transmission that is a standard shift. The original transmission included with the car is the fluid-drive transmission (An early automatic, ort of like a standard shift that also uses a torque converter, ou can just leave the car in high gear if you want to). Neither engine is installed in the car currently. Both engines would require rebuilding to make them run, owever all the parts are there. Car is in unaltered condition, ll trim, hrome, oor handles, nterior parts, ct. are present. Interior is complete but will need a full restoration. Seats are present. Still 6 volt system. Has all glass, indows all function. Car has surface rust but floorpans and frame is in good shape. Spare tire well is rusted through, nly spot of major rust on car. Rear passenger fender has some damage, est of car is straight. Car is on stock wheels and rims. It has a nice weathered patina. This is an ideal candidate for a full restoration, wealth of parts, r would make an excellent rat rod project with a differentdrive-train. It is a massive tank of a car, ith a huge trunk and what amounts to two couches on the inside. A rear passenger can recline with one foot on his knee, nd not touch the seat in front of him. Car is located in middle Tennessee, nd will obviously need to be hauled on a trailer. |
