Description of 1973 Dodge Other Pickups Adventurer |
We purchased this rare 2wd 1973 dodge crew cab to use as an occasional use shop truck for short trips and such. We got all the mechanicals tuned, leaned and running great, ut we just don't drive it enough to warrant keeping it around. It has the bulletproof combination of 360 cu. in. V8 and the Chrysler 727 Torqueflite transmission. It has a brand new carburetor and other parts, reshly tuned engine, /C converted to R134a and all seals replaced, acuumed and fully charged. Brand new heater core. This is a great survivor truck, rives great and interior is in good shape. There is a short (6"approx.) tear in the driver's seat vinyl. Has 4.10 gears in rear axle, o does not get great gas mileage. This crew cab was originally a private purchase and NEVER a government truck as most of these crew cabs were. Has the Adventurer trim package with factory A/C, ower steering. Drivers door does not shut perfectly tight to body, ut door appears to seal okay. Underside of doors have rust holes. Metal has been coated with POR15 to prevent the further spread of any rust. We were going to proceed with the body work next. Truck runs great and is very dependable and sound. Engine appears to have been rebuilt fairly recently by previous owner. All cylinders are approximately 95-105psi measured compression, hich is factory spec. Truck was Zeibart rustproofed from new, hich is probably why it survived so well. Underside appears to be in good shape. Odometer shows 53,000+ miles, ut no idea of original mileage. Truck could be titled as antique or classic. Since it is 1973, t requires no emissions inspection in PA (since it has no emissions equipment from the factory). This is a heavy 3/4 ton truck, ated to haul approximately 4000 lbs. (yup, hat's right... 4000 lbs.) Truck was up-rated from the factory, robably for a camper package. Alloy wheels, ires are in decent shape with decent tread. The bed is in great shape and has a paint-matched shell. We've got a lot of money finding this truck and getting it in great mechanical shape, ll it needs is some body TLC. Our loss is your gain! There are no body dents or dings, ut paint is not smooth or consistent. Looks great from a distance, ut up close you can see the imperfections in paint and such. Ready to drive away, uns fantastic! These old dodge crew cabs are getting more and more difficult to find, ven in 2wd. Even more rare because it was not government ordered. We don't really want to sell this but we have a lot of vehicles and hardly drive this one because of the gas mileage (about 9-10 mpg), o it should go to somebody who can appreciate it. Truck will be available for view by appointment. By bidding, ou are agreeing you have the money to fully pay and fulfill the transaction. Deposit due within set time of auction end (see details). If vehicle is not removed or sale completed to specifications given in details, uyer agrees to forfeit deposit. We are not responsible for buyer's failure to review vehicle in person, r in detail. We have tried to represent this vehicle to the best of our ability both in description and pictures, ut nothing is a proper substitute for viewing in person. |
