This is a rare 1965 Dodge Coronet 440 convertible with power top, speed manual transmission, osi-trac rear end, nd 426 RB Wedge big block under the hood. It's a rust free, riginal panel South Texas car. The car looks great and turns heads with its black paint and teal interior. I purchased the car from the estate of a Mopar collector in South Texas. My best guess is that the car was restored approximately 10 years ago. It's always stored indoors and looks as clean underneath as it does on top. I drive the car to the occasional car show or just to grab lunch once a week or so. It starts every time and is in excellent mechanical shape. There are minor flaws in the paint, small (maybe 2mm) chip on the hood and some small imperfections on the trunk lid and one quarter panel. The clock no longer works but the lights, ans, ents, indshield wipers and radio are in good working order. I am replacing the sending unit for the water temperature gauge. The odometer reads 25,750 but I have no way of verifying the actual mileage and the car is titled as Exempt for mileage purposes. I believe this is a numbers matching car but it is difficult if not impossible to document Mopars of this era. The car is correct according to the fender well tag. It's a strong #2 car. Check Hagerty's valuation tool for pricing data.If you love the stock look of these cars then all you need to do is drive it. I've toyed with the idea of throwing some muscle car wheels and tires on it for a more aggressive look but have decided to move on to another project.
