Description of 1969 Dodge Charger |
Up For Sale is a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Magnum w/ Auto on the floor. Clean New Hampshire title in hand! This is the REAL DEAL with the complete drivetrain it was born with, ll original complete car, ight down to the original road wheels. This car resided at the same address for 44 years, ery easy history (A real barn find!). The pictures will show the VIN# stamped on the engine, ransmission, runk/quarter gutter. I have fender tag plus 2 build sheets, one was behind the back seat, ther taped behind the glove box.) Awesome documentation, ncluding dealer invoice, Car Order" sheet from when the original owner ordered the car, oan documents, ealer brochures, nd warranty papers. I even have the dealer tag describing the very rare "Auto Pilot"(cruise control) option. Only about 3% came through with this option, have only seen a few in my years of dealing with these cars. The car was ordered from Topor Motor Sales, nc. in Chicopee, A on Saturday, ov. 2nd, 968. The car was built on the assembly line Tuesday, ov. 26th, he car was picked up at the dealership Monday, ec. 23rd (I think he was buying himself a Christmas present!) Look at the pictures of the dealer invoice to see the list of options. It appears that the engine has never been out or apart, verything looks original and unmolested. Engine runs great, lthough this car has been sitting a long time (last inspection sticker reads January 1986.) The owner had the presence of mind to start it frequently to keep it healthy. I wish he had taken as much care with the body, nfortunately it has rust issues being a Massachusetts car all its life. It will need quarter work, ear frame work, ome floor pan work/trunk floor, orsion bar cross member, patch in one of the front rails, ocker work, tc. Interior is pretty decent, heck out the pictures. Perfect dash, ice console, nterior panels are not bad. Glass is very nice including windshield, rim & brite metal is amazing, ery nice grill. I have a set of rear frame rails to go with the car (original, ut out of another car. NOT repros!) They have been media blasted and flash coated with a zinc solution to keep them from flash rusting. These rails still have the spring perches (front and rear). These frame rails are not perfect, hey will require a little work, ut they are way better than using reproduction in my opinion. I have not driven this car, s it will need brake lines, uel lines, tc. I have it rigged with a gas jug to start it. Here is your opportunity to own the holy grail of Chargers, hese cars are highly sought after. Base model chargers (1968-1970) are hard to come by, evermind a 1969 numbers matching R/T! Although this car needs restoration, f there were any car that deserves restoration, r investment, this is the car, lain & simple. It's the RIGHT car. They are only numbers matching once!
