Description of 1993 Dodge Other Pickups |
Super nice old truck that gets lots of attention. I bought this truck in 2006 and drove it every day for a year. In 2007 I removed the bed to clean and paint the frame and make a gooseneck hitch to pull my 21 ft. camper. Idecided to redoeverything to include the brake lines, oses, -brake cables, brakes shoes, eals, hocks, teering box, haft, heels etc. It even has telescoping mirrors. ( I made the mirrors and the turn-over gooseneck hitch.) There is noputty in this truck and it never had a roof gutter issues etc. The wheel well moldings were removed to paint the truck, nd there is no rust behind them. The left front tire blew out abouttwo years after it was painted and damaged the rocker. It also caused some rust to break through the fender that was not evident beforehand. Iinstalled new Stampede Radial LT 265/75R16 load range E tires, ut did not repair the rocker and fender. The transmission was rebuilt not long before I bought the truck. It needs to be at 55 MPH, hen let off throttle and it will shift into overdrive(and pull a trailer), nd works great. When the speed drops to or below 55, t willshift out of OD. It has 3.54 gears which allows it to travel comfortably at 70 MPH on the highway. I believe that this is one of the nicest first gen Dodges that you will find anywhere. It has never been turned up or molested in any way. It never sits outside in the sun or weather, nd is stored in a heated garage. It will leave a few oil spots on the floor, ut most of these old trucks do. When these old trucks are gone, hey're gone. Good ones are hard to find. You may come see and drive this truck before bidding on it. |
