Description of 1940 Dodge Other Pickups SURVIVOR! |
Click above arrow for a video of this very solid patina 1940 dodge truck barn find ( if doesnt work, try watching on non mobile device! 1940 dodge pick up 100 percent solid metal and complete. This 1940 dodge pick up has been stored since 1973 inside a outbuilding at a farm stead in south east minnesota. The owner passed away and the family has had it on the farm this whole time. The family was going to restore this truck about 20 years ago and that time removed the drive shaft and radiator and thats as far as they got. As the pics show, the drive shaft and radiator are included in the sale. The title was lost in a fire at the homestead so this truck is sold with a bill of sale only. It should be easy to get a title as the vin/data tag on the door look great and easy to make out. the engine number is very clearly visable and readable as well. This truck has minimal rust as video and pics show. Make sure to really study the video and pics to see what the truck is. The glass is there although there are some cracks as pictured/videod. The interior cab, dash, floors, doors, etc look very solid. It shifts all gears. The brakes are rusty so it does not roll well. I will help load it on a flat bed trailer for shipping. The tires are dry rotted and should be replaced. This is a 6 bolt wheel and 16 inch tires. Notice the original dodge center cabs on the wheels! It is missing the seat springs but the rest of the truck looks complete. All of the chrome looks real good as pictured. What you see is what you get. this is a very rare find in that its all original and all metal and complete. The frame looks great with no rust i can detect. Bid only if you are a serious bidder as I am setting the reserve well below the market value to ensure a sale. I can recommend shippers I have used in the past who have been very reasonable in the past. I require a 500 dollar non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end. If I do not get the deposit within the time frame or before you come for the truck, I will assume you are a dreamer and a scammer and not serious about buying it. as everybody has their own opinions on what a unrestored survivor truck is, I recommend that you come by appointment to look at the truck or hire ebay to do a independant inspection for you. If you have any questions, call 563 568 5111 or 563 568 1182 thanks! |
