Description of 1969 Dodge Coronet |
1969 Coronet Super Bee Up for sale unfortunately is my 1969 Coronet Super Bee. This was going to be my retirement project but certain turn of events is forcing me to part with her. The car is 98% complete, untouched and is fully numbers matching. The car is extremely original. One exception being the transmission which was replaced but luckily the owner kept the original numbers matching tranny in the trunk, andthe carburetor which I also have an original correct one for. I havetwo build sheets, one of which is in impeccable condition. Also the fender tag is here too, readable though a little rusted, also present is the original owners manual in the original plastic pouch with some tire and emissions info. The car came with dealer installed air conditioning, which there is also the original paperwork for. Option wise it has the N96 Fresh Air Hood and the Quarter Panel Side Louvers. Car was ordered with a great color combo for a bee, Yellow with a Black interior and black bumble bee stripeas seen in the pics. On to the important stuff. Sheneeds a full restoration. What was told to me by the previous owner is that it was stored in a dark barn that had a bad leak so the car sat indampness and had rainwater pouring on it formany years. The trunk and floors are completely rotted along with the rear inner and outer wheel wells, quarters and Dutchman panel. The fuel tank and trunk floorwere removed before I got the car as well as the rear bumper. All of what is needed is available through AMD Direct. The good news is that all of the frame rails and torsion boxes are all in good shape. There is a picture of the passenger rear frame rail. The seats covers are dried out but the frames all seem to be in good shape. Like I said earlier the car is 98% complete with the exception of one beauty ring for theleft front rim, rear bumper, fuel tankand 1 or 2 pieces of the molding around the rear window. In the interior, the drivers door panel and the radio with its trim panel are gone. Other than that everything is here and untouched since it left the factory. The engine still has the original exhaust manifolds which are getting hardto findas well asthe original steel air cleaner for the N96 fresh air grabber.I tried to upload the best pics but ran out ofspots but I can provide specific ones if someone is interested in seeing something in particular.I had gotten the car started and ran it for about 10 seconds 8 years ago when I first got it, but haven't had time to try again. I stuck a battery in it to get some pictures with the exterior lights on andit cranks soI sprayed a little starting fluid in but got nothing. I will try to start it againbut cannot promise anything as I literally don't have a second to devote to it. I have numerous books and restoration manuals which I'll also include. Car will be up for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if sold. I also would like a $500 deposit within 24 hours of auctions' end. If I do not receive the deposit within 24 hours, the car will be relisted. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. Please feel free to message me with any questions you may have and I will get back to you as soon as possible. |
