Description of 1948 Dodge Other Pickups |
There’s nothing quite like cruising down the road in a late 1940s Dodge pickup, especially when it’s in good running order. This one definitely falls into that category. The 218 cubic inch inline 6 combined with its 3 speed manual transmission combine to produce a unique feel in a truck that’s fun to drive. It gets a lot of thumbs ups! I’m guessing it’s due to its rarity, good looks, heavy duty tires and hard to miss two tone dark green and black paint. Another good thing about this particular truck is that the bed isn’t so nice that you’d be afraid use it for what it was made for...to move things. It’s in good overall condition and would hold its own at a local truck show. It’s not perfect....but it's a truck, does it need to be? It’s no fun to worry about driving through puddles or the threat of rock chips. Please see the Condition Report section below for more details. A little bit about me: I was born with what I call the car bug (ingrained love for cool vehicles), have owned and sold hundreds of collectible cars, founded/ran a large classic/exotic car dealership/restoration facility for years and found/finished (with the help of my team) and sold the only Tucker Convertible on the planet. I’m selling this car for a friend of mine. Condition Report Scale: 1-10, 1 is concours perfect and 10 needs a lot of attention. Exterior 4- paint not perfect, no visible rust/dents, wooden bed paint peeling in spots. Exterior trim- 5, some pitting, driver quality Interior 5- no rips or tears in bench seat, headliner scratched. Some fading on gauges. Mechanicals 3- runs well, aftermarket turn signals work, new brakes, heater box works Engine Bay 4- correct and pretty clean. Undercarriage 5- far better than the average 68 year old truck. Some surface rust. Wheels/Tires Wheels- 4, Tires- 1 new, Hubcaps- 4 faded but original Glass 5- looks original, also far better than average for its age It won't be easy to find another one like this. Don’t miss out on this sweet Mopar truck! Please call Justin at 608-658-0550 with any questions. Thanks! |
