Description of 1972 Dodge Other Pickups |
Here you go Mopar Fans, a vehicle that was never meant to hit the public roads!A pre-production 1972 Dodge Adventurer Special Edition Package Pickup Truck, as can be seen in the attached picture of the identification tag 00029. If you figure in all the testing of the first production vehicles and that this is the one that was set aside by Chrysler Corporation as their 1972 promotion show truck, I believe this is a pretty special truck.Originally from the factory it came with a 400 4bbl motor, power steering, power disc brakes, cruise control, air conditioning (needs hookup) and the only known factory vinyl top as well as 0000000 on all body panels, and last it was white with tan interior. The truck was customized in 1982 as the "Big Red Express" truck (that is why it has a 78' grille), a 1969 383 Magnum big block built with all direct connection parts, a 727 hemi trans, and a 8 3/4 rear end with a 323 ring + pinion gear. New: Stainless steel brake lines, ceramic coated headers, Holly 750 carb, Edelbrock intake, brake pads, rotors, all new front end components (tie rods, ball joints, bushings, etc), shocks, stainless steel true duel exhaust; sounds awesome, it was lowered about 4-5" from the factory ride height...the list goes on. This truck is great driver or truck to just have fun with. We drove it last summer-fall all around the thumb of Michigan. It is truly unique truck that is an attention getter wherever we went. It is not perfect, there are imperfections here and there, please check out the pictures. With all that said, it is in really nice shape, and with very comfortable seats you'll want to take it on a lot of trips!FYI - it was even better on gas than my 04' F-150! For any other questions or for specific details, please send a message and I'll get back to you ASAP. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS OR IF YOU NEED MORE PICTURES BEFORE BIDDING ON THIS TRUCK. I REQUIRE A $500 DEPOSIT MADE THROUGH PAYPAL WITHIN 24 HRS OF THE WINNING AUCTION BID, AND THEN WITHIN 1 WEEK PLANS TO PICK UP LOCALLY HERE IN MICHIGAN 48735. |
