1973 Dodge Dart Sport 426 Dual Quad Hemi. This is a Mr. Norm`s GRAND SPAULDING DODGE SPECIAL. Born as a 340 Automatic but that would soon change. This car was originally built in 1974 at a cost of $14. 00. that was 40 years ago and today it remains very close to the way it was built then. A time capsule on wheels. The engine is a late 60`s standard 426 Street Hemi built with 99% off the shelf Chrysler factory parts. Most of the machine work was done by The Ramchargers. Bored 30 over with forged 13. 5 to 1 pistons. cut down on the domes to give 11. 5 compression. The cam is a Racer Brown off the shelf Chrysler Performance item. Deep 6 quart oil pan. Milodon oil pump. The nitrous oxide system from Clifford Research was added in the mid 70`s. The transmission is a B&M Torqueflite setup with a 3800 stall converter. It has the original Chrysler 8 3/4 rear with 456 gears. nbsp;Lakewood bars. and frame connectors. This car was featured in Car Craft magazine March 1978 and Popular Hot Rodding May 1978. and later an article in Chrysler Power. Very little has been changed since it was built. it has been in a private collection for the last 20 years with only about 3. 00 miles put on it that time. it now has about 31. 00. The car is rust free. straight and right the way it should be. it was repainted in the early 90`s. The interior is original and looks new. The heater was removed to make room for the Hemi. The car comes with lots of documentation. photos. letters. magazines. and window sticker signed by Mr. Norm. This a street legal car that you can cruise around town in or take 1/4 mile trips in.
