1966 Dodge "D-Dart" Factory Lightweight Super Stock 1 of 50. This special run of "D-Darts" came on April 17th of 1966. The cars were built with the special high performance 273 with 275 hp with the intention of this being a package for D/Stock in drag racing. These 50 "D-Darts" were the only factory lightweight for Chrysler Corporation in 1966. The engine came with Racer Brown valve springs, a high lift solid lifter cam, a Holley 4160, 4 Speed with a Hurst Shifter, Weber clutch components, an 8 3/4 Suregrip rear with 4.86 gears, and Doug's Headers shipped loose in the trunk. There were no special markings or badging on the car over a regular Dart GT. They all came from the factory with a white exterior and a red interior with bucket seats with no console. The cars did not have a warranty from the factory. Currently my car has a modified 1970 340 engine with 4.10 gears in the rear. This car was raced in SCCA on the West Coast with Westlake Dodge in Daly City, CA back in the day. The car was recently restored to what it was like back in the 60's and 70's. I will be updating this listing in the next day or two with more information on the car. Feel free to call me anytime to discuss the car's history or to set up a time to view the car if possible. Thanks for looking. Dave 860/745-2174
