Description of 1935 Dodge Other |
I hate to sell it but I've purchased another newer classic and am out of garage space. This is a very nice original example of a 35 Dodge sedan. 50% of the original paint is showing and the rest has a coat of black primer sprayed over the original paint. I can't find any evidence of any body damage on this car and it's a rust free car. It still has the original interior (worn) and it's original 218 flathead 6 engine with a 3 speed floor shifter. Runs like a watch !Needs floor matts too. The glove box door and ash tray door were both gently cleaned and coated with clear coat to bring out the original wood grain. The rest of the dash could use the same treatment.I've owned this car for 13 years and it's never let me down. It does need a new roof top insert installed and I have the kit to include with the sale. I just never drove it in the rain and it's always been garaged so that wasn't a problem. It's sporting the original artillery wheels and hub caps. The original spare is still in the trunk. Also included is a set of rebuilt front lever action shocks and and the optional passenger side tail light not installed. All the glass is good and the windows roll up and down with ease. They do need new window channel. The windshield cranks out as designed. All lights work as well as the gauges. The gas gauge is not accurate and there is a hole in the top of the gas tank so I only use it 1/2 full. I take the car out for 16 mile drives many times per year to keep everything working properly. The brakes were redone by me with new metal and rubber lines, wheel cylinders and brake shoes. I think the mileage is actual because it's very clean underneath and it runs so well. The registration is current and good until May 2017. The engine was rated at 85 hp @3600 and the rear end ratio is 4.12 to 1 Note the paint on the rear fender. That's original paint that was under the layer of black primer so maybe the rest of the car could look like this with a lot of elbow grease. The last photo shows the NADA classic car price guide for the car. |
