Description of 1989 Dodge Ram 2500

Got this from a friend who up until a month or two ago was using this as his daily driver and to tow vehicles and scrap. He got a newer Cummins and I bought it from him with plans to use the drivetrain in a future project, but have changed my mind.
The engine and trans are super reliable and he would regularly drive hours away to pick up or drop off a vehicle.
The rest of the truck needs work. Rear brakes are toast. Whatever makes vacuum to the brakes is not working. He mentioned something with the driveshaft makes a noise, but never stopped him from driving it. I am honestly shocked he drove it as it sits today. Leaks here and there, etc...
The truck can definitely be put back on the road, but I saw the value in the drivetrain which would be perfect for a swap into a jeep, ford or anything else you can think of.
The injection pump is about a year and half old and has been "turned up" according to him and will roll coal haha. He currently has a low mile 96 cummins dually and says the 89 tows much better.
I will include 2 nice fenders and doors along with a front bumper for you to restore this turd or resell.
Can you drive it home, you could, but I wouldn't.
