Description of 1972 Dodge Chinook 2 door van |
This is a 1972 Dodge Chinook B300 that runs and drives. I was told that it belonged to the movie studios at one time. Odometer reads 27450, by factory it only has a 5 digit odometer so maybe original mileage (break pedal shows very little wear). Runs good but could use plugs and wires. Exhaust muffler has a hole in it. I did rebuild the factory two barrel carburetor because it was missing some linkage (now repaired to factory specs.) and thought it would be a good idea anyways. Cleaned and flushed the fuel cell (!) and installed new fuel filters. Changed oil and filter along with air filter. Had air conditioning at one time but someone removed the compressor. Starts and runs (I will include a YouTube video when I adjusted the carb). Copy and Paste to your browser: youtube.com/watch?v=_H0kVsEIEvA&t=1s & Running and Driving youtube.com/watch?v=8jb8A_O7bKQ (orange cone was not harmed during filming) Interior: Has multi toned brown color indoor/outdoor carpet. Seats need to be recovered (it is a 45 year old Chinook). Top of dash is in real good condition due to the green shag dash cover! Interior painted white. Interior does have a few water damage spots (counter top faucet area and panel under window). Has fresh water "pump" but no fresh water tank that goes under the bench seat. I was told the fridge, heater, and stove work but have not tried (have not filled propane tank). Shower looks to be in good condition with the neat folding toilet (wife fell in love with that shower combo). Exterior: Virtually no rust (California vehicle) on the metal body. Fiberglass looks real good for it's age (pin holes in a couple of places where something was attached). Also noticed one area on passenger side about 6 in. long that will need surface repair. not more. See photo. Retractable spring loaded awning works and looks great. All glass is there. Windows do need attention to (something appears to be missing but don't know what). Windshield needs to be replaced. Does not have a black waste tank due to the custom made fuel tank that takes a lot of space underneath (hint: studio filming). All and All it's in good condition for it's age. Has California Title with Bill of Sale from previous owner. Out of state buyers do not need to pay back fees. Smog exempt in California, but owes $622.00 in back registration. There is no warranty and is sold AS IS. Please LOOK at the pictures before you do anything! I have tried to describe this vehicle to the best of my ability. Any questions re-look at pictures then message me if needing more information. No rush to sell but I do have too many projects (per my wife). Buyer must pick-up or find own transportation of this RV. It is located in Lancaster, CA. I will assist with loading. Please, feel free to ask questions preferably over the phone.I am on PST (California) and it is best to call between 8am and 8pm, any day !Richard (661) 406 2882Please, no negotiations on the phone as it hardly means anything without having seen the RV in person.Of course, if you make an offer I just cannot refuse, then ...... |
