I will try to be as accurate as I can but may miss some small details. Please read entire listing, I start out with the good stuff and then explain the TLC that she needs. Please ask for any details prior to bidding. I will also take any additional pictures requested and post them. The best part of this one is that she is #911 of 1000 built. I tell the Porsche guys that I have a 911 too. It also reminds people of that tragic day, 9/11 when they hear it. I have had this GLHS since 2002. I bought it with the engine and trans removed but the engine had just been rebuilt and just needed installed and fine tuned. I finished putting it together in 2003. Engine was rebuilt (blueprinted and balanced) with all new bearings, pistons, rings, cylinder head, 3 angle valve job, new turbo, new clutch, throw-out bearing, pressure plate. I drove it for a few weeks and made sure she was in good health and had no issues. I then did minimum body work and repainted her with Dupont Centauri Pitch Black with no clear coat. All new original decals re-applied after paint. She still shines nicely but has the typical issues of a 13-14 year old paint job. A good 10 yarder if you know what I mean. There are a couple scratches in the passenger door and some lifting paint on the hood (black electrical tape in picture hides it from being too much of an eye sore). There is also some sort of paint crazing on the hood which I can only guess was bad prep on my part or the heat from the engine, as the insulation is missing under the hood. Interior is in basically nice condition with normal wear. The leather wrap on the steering wheel needs redone and the CS logos are fading badly as I believe they all have done this on just about any other Shelby I have seen. The sunroof does not leak and the inner seal is in great condition but the outer seal around the perimeter of the glass sunroof is cracked and pretty much all gone. Still has the original sunroof case in the hatch and the wipers are new but I keep them in the hatch also since it does not rain much here and it keeps the desert sun from ruining them. Only takes about 2 minutes to pop them on if needed. Pioneer AM/FM CD stereo with detachable face installed. New strong arm supports installed on hatch. Original Koni's all the way around and the Kumho 225VR15 tires have about 20,000 miles on them and will need replaced soon. Original Centurion wheels are in good shape with just minor road rash on very outer lips as usual. Boost/Vacuum Gage installed on a pillar mount. It also has the FWD Performance front engine mount installed (the last motor mount you will ever need). These cars eat the factory mounts for lunch. Now for the TLC she needs: I have not registered this car since 2011 but she is on a non-op so no overdue fees are adding up. I cracked the #1 and #4 pistons at the ring lands (at approximately 125mph). I just let her sit in the back garage for several years as my priorities changed with a heavy work load and just could not find the time or motivation. Last summer I finally pulled the head and oil pan, replaced the 2 pistons (stock pistons), had the head pressure checked and trued, replaced all the valve tappets, and got her back to running. I then went to get her smogged but she failed. The oil I threw down the exhaust more than likely killed the catalytic converter. It will either clean itself out with some miles put on it or the cat will need replaced. If you are relocating this vehicle to a state that does not require smog you probably don't even need to worry about it. Also the top end is making some noise but I am almost positive a couple of the new tappets I installed are not pumping up. Also just this week when I pulled her out and cleaned her up for pictures, I got a Power Loss light with a code 23 which is the Air Intake Temp Sensor. I have a new sensor and connector on order and will change that later this week which should fix that problem. She has great oil pressure and great vacuum at idle (15"). In our wonderful dry desert heat, she has always runs a little warm when it gets above 100 degrees out here and may need a new radiator soon. My plan was to put a bigger intercooler in the lower nose and put a larger radiator in her but have not gotten around to it. The transmission and clutch feel great and it shifts smooth but for some reason she always grinds just a bit when going into 5th gear.It has always done it and I have never thought it was bad enough to address. The AC has always worked but right now it is not blowing cold. It has been switched over to R-134. The front suspension is also noisy but I believe just needs new strut tower mounts which I have new in the box and will include in the sale. A Mopar Performance computer is currently installed and I will also throw in the original GLHS computer. I am sure I am missing some details but Iam happy to answer any and all questions. I will be totally honest, I believe the reserve is set at a reasonable number and I am not dying to sell her. If the reserve is not met, I will address the issues she currently has, get her smogged and registered and then re-post again. I also have this vehicle locally advertised and can end the listing if she sells locally. Buyer is liable for pick-up and any shipping charges. I will make myself available no matter how you want to take delivery. $200 PayPal non-refundable deposit required immediately at auction close. Please message through eBay if you would like to schedule a time to view this vehicle. Also, I will consider all Buy It Now offers and if accepted, I will change the auction parameters to include the Buy It Now.
