THE BODYWORK AND PAINT ON THIS CAR AND THE DETAIL IN ALL THE JAMBS MAKES EVERY OTHER 2ND GEN CHARGER LISTED ON EBAY AND THE NET LOOK LIKE 2ND RATE AMATEUR WORK. I'VE LOOKED AT THEM ALL OVER THE PAST WEEK TO COMPARE AND THEY DON'T COME CLOSE... NOT TRYING TO BE DISRESPECTFUL, JUST TELLING YOU HOW IT IS, IF YOU WANT A CLEAN CRISP CAR WORTH THE MONEY, THIS IS IT!!!!!!!!! WE WENT TO BARRETT JACKSON NORTHEAST AND THIS CAR WAS BETTER THAN ALMOST EVERYTHING WE SAW .. WOULD HAVE BEEN TOP TEN OVERALL FOR SURE Factory XS29 R/T 440 A/C car with performance axle package (only one known with my options and A/C in the 1970 Charger registry) This car is gorgeous in its factory ff4 light green metallic sprayed in SIKKENS solvent base and SIKKENS Autoclear High Solid +. The entire car was disassembled completely and then metalwork was performed. Then it was blasted 100% and epoxied with CHROMATED glasurit..YES CHROMATED ..Whats that you ask? Well its the best epoxy you can buy and its not even available anymore through the automotive market because it is too unhealthy to spray, BUT BOY DOES IT PROTECT AGAINST CORROSION!!!!!!!! I believeThis car will last forever!! Then all bodywork was performed over the epoxy. No filler touched bare metal anywhere!! Sound strange yet..It should because not many shops go this far with detail in the repair process. Every time we broke through epoxy sanding a repair area EVERYTHING WAS STOPPED AND EPOXY WAS SPRAYED AGAIN so nothing but epoxy is on metal!! This is high end stuff folks. It is way over the top but I was restoring this car for myself and my labor is free. I am a 30 year veteran restoration specialist. Once bodywork was finished I sprayed polyester ultra high solids spray filler over everything and blocked this car for weeks. We would block, block, block then respray with poly again. Block again, spray again. Totally over the top, but boy is this car straight and crisp. Sanded under the hood and all jambs 2-3 times as well. No blisters or chipped paint or painted over crud in jambs or bad bodywork on this beauty.THESE JAMBS ARE SWEEEEEET!!! Take a look closely at pics of all other cars out there and see how nicely detailed they are, then check ours. The underside of our hood looks nicer than the exterior of some cars.. The numbers matching 440 was warmed over nicely with Keith Black pistons, lunati Voodoo camshaft, aluminum 440 source heads, full roller rocker arms, performer RPM intake, FULL PORT AND GASKET MATCH JOB TO HEADS AND INTAKE, Holley street avenger 870 carb, fully balanced lower end, MSD digital ignition system, Custom shrouded dual electric fan setup with two thermostats to control primary and secondary fan. ****ENGINE PAINTED TO BE FAIRLY ORIGINAL LOOKING AT A GLANCE UNDER HOOD 727 torque flite with stage 2 Trans go shift kit original rear end with original desirable 489 case and 4:10 gears UNDERCARRIAGE IS FULLY PAINTED AND PERFECT with addition of painted factory appearing frame connectors and reinforced lower control arms up front. There was so much time and love put into this restoration its not even funny. But like they say about houses, if you want a nice house buy a builders house.. Well the same holds true for cars. If you want a sweet ride, buy it from a veteran car builders collection!!! This car was titled to me with around 130k when i started restoration. We reset odometer to 000000 so this car will start its new life from scratch.
