Description of 1972 Dodge Charger Special Edition (SE) |
Up for auction is a nice find. This is a 1972 Dodge Charger SE with a matching 400 Big Block. It was originally a 2bbl car from the factory but has an Edelbrock 4bbl intake on it now. It is the original Blue Streak (TB3) paint color. The car received a quick make over about 25 years ago and looks okay. I would call it a 20 footer. The interior is original and will need restoration. The rear seat is in good condition and would probably get by with a very good cleaning. but the front seats have covers over them and would need to be recovered. The top is original and has no rips. tears or cracking but seems a little faded. With a good cleaning and perhaps dying I might leave it alone. I do have what is left of the original build sheet but looks like little critters ate the top left corner FYI. The story with this car is that it had been kept in dry storage and kept in good running order for many years. I like to call them as I see them. It runs and drives great and looks good overall. When the car was redone 25 years ago they did some patching around the rear wheels and tinned over the trunk pan. Quarter panels look good but the trunk pan looks amateur. Overall it is a very solid car and when it was redone did get 2 NOS front fenders. nbsp;It is either a great driver or a good candidate for a full restoration. A little elbow grease and some detailing here and there and go out and drive it and have fun if you choose. Although these have not reached the level of craziness that the generation 2 Chargers have. they are quickly picking up speed and are continuing to go up in value and will make for a great long term investment. I would rather under describe it than over describe it. If you have any specific questions I will be happy to answer them as best as I can. My friend owns a auto transport company and if needed I can help arrange shipping to pretty much anywhere in the US at your expense. I have a fairly low reserve as I am getting ready to move and need to lighten the load of cars that I have right now so feel free to help yourself. I am a 100% seller and take pride in being upfront about what I sell so bid with confidence. Thanks and Happy Bidding |
