Description of 1970 Dodge Charger RT/ SE |
Up for auction is the REAL DEAL 1970 Dodge Charger RT/ SE. This was a 440, 4 speed car from the factory. The options tag is pictured and the original Broadcast sheet comes with the car too. This is an extremely rare Charger. Only 1443 Chargers were RT 440/ 4 speed cars. Ana there were only 1452 total SE cars built in 1970. So, to find a true RT/SE car that was a 440/ 4 speed is hard to do. This car was in storage since the 1980's and I just recently bought it. I do not have the money this car deserves to restore it CORRECTLY! The car only comes with a bill of sale from the storage facility, and from me. I do not have a title for the car, it's being sold "as is" with no warranty due to the cars age. The car does not come with an engine or transmission, as they were removed long ago. Overall the car is very solid underneath, no rust in the pans or frame rails that I can see. The doors close perfect, windows roll up and down, and the interior overall is very nice! It looks like someone at one time was going to put in an automatic trans and cut the only hole in the floor tunnel. The floor pans are good overall though. The hood has some rust around the edges, the middle trunk pan should be replaced, and the lower quarters have some rust also. The engine bay is in very good condition overall, as is the entire front end of the car. The steering components are all good overall, Power Disc brakes are good. The roof is good for being a vinyl top car. This car deserves to be restored and back on the road. I will take REAL offers for the car, and the car is for sale locally. The winner bidder must pay an immediate non refundable deposit of $1000 after winning the car. There is no reserve on the car. The remaining balance will be due within 3 days of the auction ending. Once the car is paid for I can store it until transport arrangements can be made. Again, the car is sold as is. Please feel free to email me with any questions, and please feel free to come inspect the car BEFORE the auction ends. Tag Decoding: D21: 4 speed w/ 440, A33: Track Pack 3:54 to 1 Dana 60, 26 HP Radiator, Y09: Export Order, C55: Bucket Seats, J45: Hood Pins, A47: SE Package, B51: Power Brakes, CRXA: Leather Bucket Seats, E86: 440/ 4 speed ( only 187 built )!! On Feb-04-18 at 20:27:10 PST, seller added the following information: All of the VIN #'s match on the car, the dash VIN, door sticker, fender tag, and the hidden partial VIN's. The car has all of its original sheet metal, and has never been in an accident! The dents on the passenger side happened when they were moving the car while in storage. You could literally almost just pop the dent out of the quarter. I also have a date correct, freshly rebuilt 440, stamped 9/1970. The motor price can be negotiated after the auction ends. The motor IS NOT included with the sale of the car. |
