The fifth generation Coronet was introduced in 1965 as an intermediate size car and was available in coupe, sedan, and wagon body styles. They were the most popular Dodge models of that year and were available with a wide range of engines from the humble 225cid "slant 6" to the big boy 440 Magnum. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this unique Coronet wagon for your consideration. Courtesy of a frame on restoration, this wagon has had a complete... color change but still has all of the original body panels. Originally blue, this wagon was professionally repainted white with red accents and it looks very good. The paint quality is excellent and the body is super straight and free of rust. The exterior also features excellent chrome trim and has color matched rear wheels and chrome front Cragar wheels. The interior has been completely replaced and features newer seats with matching red and white pattern. The dashboard and door panels are very nice as well, with great chrome trim. The dashboard features a stand alone Sun Super Tach as well as a small gauge pack with oil, voltage, and water meters. The only unfinished part is the rear headliner. A lot of work has been put into the mechanicals and drive train of this Coronet. According to the owner, the car features a 440cid V8 with a mild 278 hydraulic crane cam, 346 heads, TTI exhaust, 3 core HD radiator, reverse valve body by Swain, DTS drive shaft, 727 transmission, 8 ¾ rear end, polished stainless tinted windows, disc front brakes, powder coated front suspension, completely rebuilt engine including pistons and bearings, and a stock rear axle. A unique build, this wagon is sure to turn heads with its curb appeal and ear pleasing sounds. Strap a surfboard to the roof and go for a cruise. This car runs cool and is an excellent driver. A whole host of receipts from the build accompanies the sale.
