for sale is a 1938 dodge d-8 two door sedan. I have had this car for 5 years. I have a lot of time into it. the car bought and taken down to bare meta, with the intent to make a hot rod/rat rod. the car was in great shape. after taking it down to bare metal the car only needed rocker panels and log leg area patches. the rockers and patch panels are all metal and made for the vehicle so the fit was perfect.the car has been completely takenapart but I left the body on the frame ( no room). the entire frame has been cleaned ground down to metal and coated with por 15 rust protector. the car has the original motor and trans (3 speed on the floor). new plugs, wires, coil. the 6 volt system was upgraded to 12 volt with a new wiring harness and fuse box. the car has the original rear end. the dash was taken out painted and rust proofed because its metal. the car has the original brakes which are drum and could use a upgrade. I have the original seats for the front, I put bucket seats in it and placed them on a super strong frame with the intent of placing seat belts in it and I did not want to put a hole on the floor. the front seats look like the back seat, they are grey seat cover, the original seats are under the covers and are the factory mohair seats, i did not want to take the covers off. the car does not have a headliner or carpet. I wanted to let people see I'm not covering up anything. the car runs and drives, it has all factory steering . I did replace the shocks when it was apart. I have all pictures of what is did and the car in numerous stages of repair. the car is coated with duplicolor peel paint, it will come right off. the car has epoxy primer under it. I wanted protection for the primer to drive it. the car needs a new speedo cable and since upgrading to the 12 volt system the factory gauges don't work. I have added the gauges that are needed. any questions please ask, I am currently taking the car to car shows and selling locally. if you want more pics just ask. all door panels and seats are original factory to the car. original color is blue ( I have pics) that's the color it was when I bought it.
