Description of 1982 Dodge Other Prospector vin#1B7EZ44G6ED160892 |
These are great sized trucks! They can get 30 mpg on the road. haul a pair of motorcycles. or a quad. or haul 4 garbage cans to the dump! Low and sleek. they turn heads on the road. They handle great because they are so low. They are also quiet and comfortable on the road. There is a "shell" that goes with them too. in good condition. part of the package! The running black Rampage has a current CA pink slip. The engine is OK. but I think the head gasket is blown (as of last month). smog stuff is there and works but there are vacuum leaks. Runs and drives nicely. Underneath is solid. no holes. There is some rust around the windshield and upper door openings. We used it locally only. The second car (Prospector trim) is in better overall condition than the first one. I thought it would be better with a turbo engine so it became a project car. I don't have the enthusiasm to complete it. Body has "surface rust" from sitting but no through holes that I can see. Original engine and the turbo engine I intended to put in it are complete and so are the 2 automatic transmissions. This one will need a hauler or trailer. the drive train has been removed. Build it back up as a hot rod or keep it stock for a vintage show car. It has an expired WA title with paper trail. The interior is upgraded compared to the black car. that is the major trim difference. This car also has a Jensen stereo. As quoted in "Hagerty’s 2014 automotive threatened. endangered and extinct list"4. 1982-84 Dodge Rampage: The Dodge Rampage is one endearingly odd-looking little vehicle. Half car (the Dodge Omni 024) and half truck. it had the unfortunate luck of being introduced just as the car/truck phenomenon started by the Ford Ranchero and Chevy El Camino was petering out. That combined with the fact that real truck people despised its front wheel-drive and 96-hp four banger. ensured that it was a short-lived phenomenon. Still. about 38. 00 were sold over the course of three model years. There was a also a very rare Plymouth version called the Scamp. but it’s more likely that someone will drag a live Ivory Billed Woodpecker out of an Arkansas swamp before someone else in Arkansas cuts their grass for the first time in 20 years and finds a Scamp. The Rampage’s rather quirky. utilitarian and cute nature has led to at least some conservation efforts. Hagerty insures just under 50 of them. making the Rampage simply “threatened. ”Package deal! Both AS IS! No guarantees! You have to take everything. No parting out. No Reserve!Bidders with zero feedback must contact me or I will block you from bidding. Once burned. twice shy. Cars are located near Eureka. CA about 100 miles South of the Oregon border. on the coast. |
