Description of 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T |
You are bidding on a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T V Code 440 Six Pack Automatic Hemi Orange Project Car. This car had only 2 registered owners and was street raced out of Brooklyn NY in the late 70s and then it was parked in 1980 and basically forgotten about until its discovery this year. Race Tow Tabs are still on front of car and a pair of NOS inner fender skirts are bolted in the engine compartment. All stamped firewall and under hood vins match the dash vin tag and broadcast sheet This car needs a 100% complete professional restoration as it has rust basically all over it but it is worth doing as there were only 1,640 6 pack cars made in 1970 and this is one of only 793 automatics. The motor trans and body tag are missing but I found a complete broadcast build sheet in the car proving its authenticity. Factory Options On Build Sheet: E87 - 440 Six Pack 3 2bbl Carbs 390 HP J11 - Glovebox Lock D32 - 3 Speed Automatic Trans J15 - Cigarette Lighter D56 - 3.55 Rear Axle 8 3/4 J21 - Electric Clock D91 - Sure Grip Axle J25 - 3 Speed Variable WipersU82 - E60 X 15 RWL Polyglas GT - (RARE) J31 - Dual Horns W34 - Collapsible Spare BF Goodrich J54 - Sports Hood V01 - Monotone Paint J64 - Woodgrain Instrument Panel EV2 - Hemi Orange - NO Vinyl Roof L76 - Heater Control Lamp A36 - Performance Axle Package M21 - Driprail Moldings A62 - Rallye Instrument Cluster M26 - Wheel Lip Moldings B11 - Heavy Duty 11 Drum Brakes M83 - Rear Bumper Guards C16 - Console w/Woodgrain N41 - Dual Exhaust C55 - Bucket Seats N42 - Bright Exhaust Tips C93 - Carpeting N65 - Torque Drive Fan F25 - Heavy Duty Battery N51 - Maximum Cooling F96 - Oil Pressure Gauge N85 - Tachometer G41 - Prismatic Rear View Mirror R11 - 2 Watt AM Radio H11 - Front Heater S15 - Extra Heavy Duty Suspension - Hemi S77 - Power Steering 16:1 S81 - Steering Wheel Woodgrain SportsW21 - Rally Wheels W/Trim Rings There are some other parts missing like the dash cluster some wiring and the rear end pumpkin gears, Basically what you see in the pictures is ALL you will get. Please don't bid on this car if you don't have the skills or connections to do a 100% Graveyard restoration This car is being sold with a New York State Transferable Registration dated 1980 in prior owners name. New york state does not issue titles on cars prior to 1973. Thanks & Good Luck |
