Description of 1937 Dodge Other |
This is a 1937 Dodge convertible sedan body that would be a tough restoration project. It certainly would not be for someone not used to working with metal and can do lots of fabrication. I think it would also be neccessay to use a 4 door sedan parts car. At least there would be the running gear with the frame. suspension. and the rest of the body parts. The worst part for rust is the top of the left rear door where it is thin but with a parts car the top of the door could be grafted. I had planned to use a 4 door Imperial as a parts car but in my old age. I decided that there are too many projects are ahead of me. I think this car was in a fire which explaines the surface rust everywhere. There a lot of good parts on the car and they are hard to find parts which makes it desirable to make it back into a convertible sedan. The hood with mouldings is with the car and the body has a frame under the body which all mopar convertibles had during these years. Some fabrication on the top irons will also be needed. I think some irons forward of the rear section are missing. I do not have a title but I can get one if need be. I'm sure that it will be neccesary to pick up this body or at least send a truck so that I can help load the car. I expect that you may need some more information so you can reach me at 541-944-6282. Have fun looking and dreaming. Good luck. |
