Description of 1949 Dodge Wayfarer roadster convertible convertible |
1949 Dodge Wayfarer roadster, (two door convertible). Motor and trans complete, but not running . This is the last American made roadster produced (no roll up back windows). Stored since 1985, (see by the license plate) in a shed with a dirt floor. Surprisingly, the main portions of the floors and the frame are good, however, the real issues are the rotted out rocker panels.. I have located a source for these parts at plymouthdoctor.com. The inner and outer rocker panels plus the door sills cost about $700. These are accurately made and of excellent quality. If you have ARC or MIG welding skills, this is a pretty straight forward fix. I have way too many vehicles and this must go . Once done, you'll have a high end classic worth serious money. All top bows are present and in good shape and the top itself is complete and operates as it should . I do have a title/letter for this car from New Hampshire DMV that was notorized. The car is complete every doo, trunk, hoo, windows all work properly including the convertible top. The driveline is complete the original frame only has one troubled spot that couldbe easily welded . Trunk lid and door bottoms and in great shape. There is several bondo/metal patchwork that has been done 2 smaller spots in the trunk and the rockers have been patched including the floor with a terrible job. Good parts are the car is complete and all the glass is in good shape the interior including door panels, dash, seat, and carpets and actually in usable condition for a driver . When i bought the car I was told it was driven into the shed I pulled it from and the owner was in process pulling engine out and passed away over a decade ago. I was thinking of a V8 swap rat ro, but dont have the time or place to do it . Must sell no storage and need to thin my collection. Here is a link to a video of the car below youtu.be/nnEtFm9XGEg Any questions feel free to message me . I can help with the set up of shipping arrangements to any location worldwide. |
