Description of 1936 Dodge Other |
1936 Dodge Sedan with Suicide Doors. Clean and clear title. I do not think that you will find another in this condition unrestored for this deal!! NO RESERVE. FINAL BIDDER IS THE WINNER! Car has been sitting in the barn for 20 years. Grandpa had all cars taken out 7-10 years ago and had them all gone through. They were all running and driving at that time and then put them back in the barn and have not seen sunlight until now. I took this one and my 1949 Plymouth Special Deluxe, which is also being sold (and in even better condition and running-watch for this listing)out of the barn at the end of the Summer. I had hopes that I would be able to enjoy getting these back on the road, going to shows, and cruising around town with my wife and kids...but I work too much, have young kids who I am taking advantage of the time spent with them (and not working on the cars), and have other unfortunate bills that must be addressed. I am auctioning this killer deal and have it for sale locally, which I have the right to end the auction early if it sells but I am not pushing to sell because I am still not really ready to sell it, especially for such a deal as it will go here. As badly as I want to keep it, I don't see having the time to truly enjoy this car as much as it should be. I would rather see someone be able to enjoy this car and have it on the roads then to go back into storage. The car does turn over but I haven't had time to drop the fuel tank, clean the fuel tank or fuel line, or do a carb clean. The 1949 Plymouth was in the same condition (both were put away at the same time) but I was able to spend a night in the garage for few hours and dropped the fuel tank, cleaned it out entirely and blew out the fuel line, and within an hour or so of tinkering after that, I had that car running. This car is in the same condition and I would expect that you will be able to get running very quickly. I just unfortunately haven't had the time to get through both vehicles or be able to get them road worthy (going through the brakes). The car is in amazing condition for a 1936 and it was kept in the barn, so not exposed to the weather conditions. There is paint that has began to flake off in few spots (near trunk handle and passenger side). Tires hold air. All glass is intact with NO cracks or breaks! All motor and vehicle parts that are known are accounted for, and in place (haven't touched). Odometer shows 21,072 miles. Told that is actual miles but I can't guarantee that to be accurate (I would have to assume it is 121,072 but he says otherwise). If you have any questions or would like additional photo's, please do not hesitate to call, email, or message me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Car is sold as-is with no warranty. $1,000 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours at the end of the auction. Remaining balance is due within 7 days. Car will not be loaded, shipped, title signed, etc, until final payment has cleared. I will assist and help the winning bidder with finding and/or getting the vehicle shipped!
