Description of 1970 Dodge Other Pickups ADVENTURER |
Selling my 1970 Dodge Adventurer Sweptline pick up truck. Purchased in 2008 and shipped here from the west coast. Never seen salt. As a matter of fact, it never left my garage INTERIOR -seats professionally reupholstered to factory correct standards in a heavy soft cream colored vinyl. -door panels, dash pa, sun visors are mint. -new black carpeting still in box, no radio -previous owner installed grant steering wheel -no headliner, but I have left over vinyl from seats -instrument cluster cover was removed for cleaning, along with seat belts, they’re both included BODY -very very clean, was not washed for photos, what you see is grime -COMPLETELY ORIGINAL paint with great patina -vintage California mirrors -front grill needs to be straightened --front bumper has a weld repair in it, chrome is so-so-back bumper is pushed in slightly on left side-door lips are excellent -No rust or holes, except where shown: drivers side floor pan to body bushing connection, left rocker panel beneath door, and a spot on right front lower fender near Chrysler pentastar, -light oxidation dusting of rust on top of full sized bed due to tarp layed down over that will scrub clean NO HOLES -all glass good except for rock chip lower right side of windshield, does not impair vision -all windows work -drivers door needs upward adjustment so it doesn’t have to be lifted to close right -only one small piece of trim actually missing on left quarter panel, you’ll have to hunt one down -tailgate works as it should -single factory fuel tank behind drivers seat looks like new -auxiliary fuel tanks that were in the truck bed removed and discarded -a pair of good used reverse light lenses and front left turn signal lense are included along with a small trim piece not on by rear right lower quarter-I'll try and get another picture of bed with tailgate down FRAME -frame is solid, again no rust or holes anywhere, great shape SUSPENSION -FRANKENBITCH as in heavy duty 1 ton -may have been changed out due to the D100 badging, never looked into it -previous owner had every moving part in the rear differential replaced at a cost of $1700 and some change -and the torqueflite 727 rebuilt for $800, has an air cooled racing pan installed I may have the receipts still, if I find them I’ll put them in the glove box -front end is a 1 ton straight axle -power drum brakes all around ELECTRICAL -minor attention to the following: I have to keep one finger on the ignition key tumbler when I want to remove the key, could be switch housing horn button installed on dash along with a toggle switch to control the turn signals hood mounted chrysler indicators need new wire connected I removed the brake light switch to rear brake light wire underneath along frame and didn’t finish I bought a brake light switch and hard to find bracket that new owner will have to tinker with When I did this the lights don’t come on now, they did before, also with ignition in on position, dash light comes on. I’m not sure if that was related, but could be. I never checked heater blower motor or wipers, but I assume they work. ENGINE-383 -I installed : New timing chain Water pump New 2 barrel factory correct carburetor Upgraded to Mopar Performance electronic ignition system Belts and hoses Fresh antifreeze and a full tank of gas Runs a little rich, new owner can play with it. Dual exhaust out the sides Right bank exhaust manifold leak, new one included video link of engine running on you tube hereCOPY AND PASTE THIS IN YOUR BROWSERIF THERE'S NO SOUND OPEN IN WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER OR DOWNLOAD MP4 https://youtu.be/AfEMQT1HKGE So there you have it. I’m being as honest to the best of my ability and thought of everything that I can think of that I still wanted to do, if it doesn't sell. I don’t think there’s anything I forgot, at least not major. Truck starts right up, runs stron, shifts goo, stops, and rides like a Sherman tank.
