Description of 1974 Dodge Other |
Up for auction is my 74 Dodge D100. This truck has been mine for awhile and now it's time to move it on.The truck was built by a Mopar mechanic friend in Las Vegas Nv.Until now it's always been in Las Vegas and started out as part of the Area51 fleet motor pool-probably security. The United States Atomic Energy Commission tag is still welded to the B pillar and the NTS on the tag stands for "Nevada Test Siteâ€. JT did a great job rebuilding the 318 motor (mild cam) and it's bolted to a 727 tranny- it's nice and shifts smooth. The truck has always been reliable, never left me stranded and sounds so heavy sweet, sometimes I start it up just to hear it. The exhaust was done by Discount Muffler in Vegas There is no cancer on the truck, the rust patina was done by me using a SteelFX Auburn Rust solution together with Mother Nature. It has a satin clear over it. The truck has great power steering and it is plumbed for air conditioning, it will only need a new condenser,(looks like a small radiator). The a/c came as a special add on in those days. CD player is hooked up and only needs speakersWheels and tires pretty new with tons of tread and no "checkingâ€. Starts up easy, runs great and stops just fine. All the gauges work, some are after market, some stock, you can monitor everything. Front Springs were cut and the rears de arched. The gas tank has a small crack somewhere around the filler, half way up the side and unless the tank of filled up it won't leak. The new owner, if they want can remove the tank and have it repaired. I just kept it a half full and had no problems. If you want it to be perfect it will need new interior door handles and window felt. Heater works. If you want to hear it start and run I uploaded a couple of videos on YouTube, type in 1974 DODGE D100 COLD START I've moved from Vegas to Alabama and I'm starting up a small business so some things like the truck will be sacrificed to buy equipmentMessage me if you have any questionsTHIS IS NOT A SHOW TRUCK, it's a daily driver for guys who like this type of hot rod truck and if I have to explain it you wouldn't understand anyway $500 deposit due immediately and the balance in cash or wire transferTrucks leaves only after paid in fullI can help load.No sales to minorsDeposit is non refundableBank to bank wire transfer for balanceNO CHECKS, NO CASHIERS CHECKSWIRE TRANSFER OF FUNDS OR CASH ONLY |
