1936 Dodge LC Pickup 73,446 Miles Service History From 1971 Extremely Well-Sorted Driver Dark Green / Tan Vinyl Original Engine & Trans, Rebuild Records 3.3L Flathead Six / 3spd Manual VIDEO WITH LISTING Engine Number: T23*6369 Serial Number: 8110301 Body: H12LR13251 We purchased this excellent '36 Dodge LC pickup from a gentleman in the Chicago suburbs. The car had belonged to his father, who had purchased it a decade earlier out of Wisconsin. Please inquire for scanned service records and receipts, but the truck did see a comprehensive engine rebuild in... August of 2002 at 70,800 miles. A handwritten account of service history is provided, as well as actual receipts and specifications from the 2002 rebuild. As it sits now, this is a well-sorted, impressively original example in need of nothing other than a new owner to use and enjoy it. Exterior: - Please see the video along with the listing, as the truck is covered in detail. Blemishes are all shown close up and under direct sunlight. We are unaware as to exactly when the truck was most recently painted, but we'd consider it a B level respray. While it looks great from a little bit of distance, upon closer inspection there is some bits of dust under the paint in various spots. Blemishes are limited to chips and scratches in the expected areas, like on the back of the headlights and top of the cowl, where the hood may make contact when folding up. There are also a couple small paint blisters on the passenger rear quarter. Again, please defer to the video. - Wheels and hubcaps are in great shape. No significant oxidation or damage. Coker Classic tires are in nice shape, with no dry rot and close to full tread remaining. - Glass is all clear and crack-free, as are light lenses. All lights and signals are functional. - Doors/hood/tailgate all open and close nice and smoothly. Interior: - Gauges are all functional, including aftermarket temp gauge mounted under the dash. Odometer reading of 73,446 miles is believed to be true chassis mileage, as it's consistent with service records from 1971-2018, and the truck does retain its original drivetrain. - Under-dash heater is functional, and even the lights in the heater control knob to the left of the driver's outside knee are still functional. Electric fan is functional. Handbrake is functional. Manual wiper is not connected. Windshield is fixed in place. - The truck does have seatbelts installed. Under the Hood / Underbody: - Please inquire for scanned service records and engine specs. Original 3.3L T23-code engine was rebuilt in 1971 at 61,500 miles, then again in 2002 at 70,800 miles. Synchronized 3spd manual transmission was rebuilt at 66,440 miles, and a rear end from a '51 Dodge Wayfarer was swapped in at the same time. Truck runs and drives phenomenally well. Truly no tendencies of any concern. Ready to be used on a daily basis if desired. It starts right up with a push of the starter pedal, idles cool and steady, pulls with surprising gusto through the rev range, shifts smoothly, tracks straight, and brakes straight and effectively. A confidence-inspiring driver. The truck is more than able to keep up with traffic, and has nice long gears. Clutch is great, with no chatter. - Underbody is very, very nice. Please take a look through the underbody photos. No damage or rust, just nice, clean, black metal. Very much a strong suit of the truck.
