Description of 1964 Dodge Power Wagon |
1964 Dodge W300 1ton 4x4 original 318 Polyv8 (one of approx. 330 made in 1964) Dana 70's front and rear with 4.88:1 gears. Rear is a posi. Axles are from a 1969 W300 and have 8 lug hubs, not the 6 lug hubs like would have been original on the 1964 model year. NP201 "twin stick" transfer case. 4 x 4 works. PTO on the transfer case, no shafts for the PTO Runs and drives nice considering what it is.will go down the highway at 50 - 60 comfortably.I have had it going 65, but that's about all it will do with the 4.88 gears. Brakes are all newer. New rear wheel bearings, fronts re-packed. Differentials, transfer case and transmission all have fresh gear lube. Power Brakes! All lights work except the front blinkers. I just have not had the time tore-wire them yet. Brand new Holley 500 cfm 2 barrel carburetor. Set of 4 matched STA 9.00-16 tires. 95% tread on them. Also 2 older 9.00-16 spares mounted on rims. 2 speed wipers work, 2 speed blower for the heater works. Speedometer and gages all work. Very little rust. This was from Wyoming area originally. Has not been driven in the MN snow. Passenger front fender has small rust spot behind the wheel. Doors and rockers are solid! floor is rusted around the front2 body mount bolts, but is still solid. Drivers door latch is worn. It still works but could use a rebuild. The box is off a 1970. It is an 8 foot. Has some dents but no rust. This truck should have a 9 ft.utiline (step side) box on it, but this one seems to work out just fine. Drive it home if you live within a couple hundred miles of Minneapolis, MN. Otherwise bring a trailer or have a service pick it up.Truck can be stored until shippingarrangements can be made, payment needed first. |
