A real H code 1971 Dodge Demon not many of these produced a little over 18000 for the two year only run of 1971 and 1972. There are a bunch of clones out there but for us purists the real 340 H code cars are few and far between! I do not have the fender tag or build sheet but I do have the previous owners information that had the car for the last 20 years and am trying to make contact with him to see if those items are available. The engine is not the numbers matching unit but what seems to be a 340 from 1970. the numbers I have decoded so far area as follows:LH side of block below cylinder head: FW340P31960518 decodes to 4/28/70Casting numbers drivers side block: 2780930-340-8Vin # above oil pan: 0B330786Heads are correct for a 340 motor I have not checked thecarburetor or thedistributor as of yet but will get to it. The body is in amazing shape retaining all of its original sheet metal with the only realmajor rust area in the spare tire area of the trunk. The floors are original and solid as is the rest of the car with some minor spots in the rockerpanels. The original color looks to be B7 Dark Blue Poly. Options which I know to be true: Bucket Seats, C16 Console, D34 TorqueFlite automatictransmission, J45 Hood pins, J54 Hood scoops includes black performance hood, N85 Tachometer, S81 Deluxe steering wheel, W21Rally road wheels. This is what I see in front of me at the moment. The car is in the body shop readyto be started. I have the original wire harness and also a Painless wiring harness which will come with the car also a new in the box Edelbrock Performer cam kit. I have all the front end parts including grill, headlight buckets and trim, front bumper and lower valance. New gas tank included. All console parts and most trim pieces. Please ask any questions. If car does not sell this week before I startrestoration it will be off the market.
