1989 Dodge Ramcharger LE. 360 4x4 727 automatic. this truck was customized by Dodge and presented to Cabela's for testing. I have the original registration to Cabela's. It was used by them for fishing and hunting trips throughout it's life in Nebraska and Wisconsin. I has plenty of rust in the rear quarter and rocker panels. They will need replaced. the floor is solid and the frame crusty but solid. Fuel injected 360 runs great, transmission shifts as it should, tires are great, brakes work well. it has a new shocks, fresh tune up and a new starter. I would drive this truck anywhere. The AC does not work. I was after this truck for several years being a ramcharger nut myself, and bought it to restore, due to life changes I decided to sell it but I do use it to go fishing and hunting still. Some of the special features it has are ceiling mounted rod holders, grille guard, rear facing fog lamps for boat loading and they work. It has storage bags in the rear cargo sides and a storage compartment on the rear seat. it originally had a roof rack, exterior spare tire carrier and locking gun safe, all of which were missing when I got it. it also had running boards that were missing but I have a correct set that goes with it, they just need painting. I also replaced a piece of trim that was missing and painted it the correct color and I put the correct original ram head hood ornament on it painted correct color. the interior is really clean considering the life this truck led. no rips or tears in the interior. This truck runs and drives great but deserves a good restoration, this is the only one ever made and while some people onlysee a ramcharger with some accessories added which it is, it is also a piece of mopar history. the newspaper article documents this was made for Cabela's and the original registration matches the VIN. Rare is an understatement. this is the only one. There was supposed to be a 2nd one made for magazine testing but nothing exists on it so apparently it never happened. This was an attempt I believe, to capitalize on what Ford did with the Eddie Bauer Broncos. That being said, this truck really needs to go to a home that will preserve and or restore it. I will accept reasonable offers, otherwise I will keep it in my garage where it is and get to it when time allows. Thank you for looking!
