Description of 1973 Dodge Charger |
I am selling my large 1973 Dodge Charger SE parts and car collection. These are cars and parts that I have accumulated over the years with intentions of building 2 cars and selling my left over parts. One car I planned as a resto-mod (currently the car in primer) and another a restoration (black car). These cars and parts with the exception of the multi colored parts car are all housed inside a building that I also store several other projects in. I have hit the point in my collection where I have to give up something because I am out of space and currently out of time. If I had about 2000 square foot more storage that I could back burner these for about 10 years that is what I would do. I could make a lot more money if I were to part all of this out but I do not have the time nor the heart to do it. I am trying to sell the entire collection to one buyer to keep it all together. Many of these parts are next to impossible to find anymore and there is enough here to build quite a car. I will go over the specifics of each car. all with good titles. and I will touch on some of the parts but there are entirely too many parts to list each one. Please read the entire listing and if you have any questions or would like to check it out before buying you are welcome to. However I do ask you to check it out before bidding if you have any hesitations. If upon winning the auction you decide you do not want all of the parts you are not obligated to take them all but there will be no further negotiating on price at that point. THE CARS 1. Black 1973 Dodge Charger SE Brougham 400 HP ID# WP29P3G169577This car has been in the family for many years and is the car that I intended to restore. It is a fully optioned car with the Hi Performance 400. factory dual exhaust. power windows. bucket seats and triple black colors. The car has not been driven since 1988 and has been housed in the barn for many years. It has some of the standard issue rust at the bottom of the quarters. The floors are in decent shape and most all of the underside of the car is in decent condition likely because it hasn’t seen the road in years. The trunk lid frame is rusted out. This auction comes with 2 good trunk lids. It has dents and dings that can all be seen in the picture but the one thing it also has is the original paint. The car has never been repainted or had any bodywork done so what you see is what you get. No hidden surprises. The interior is 99% all there. The engine is lacking the radiator and some bolt on items but all of that comes in the parts section. This car need to be gone through and is sold as such. The engine. trans and rear end are all in tact but need restored. The fuel tank is garbage and should be replaced. In my extra parts I have 2 used tanks but I would still recommend a new tank as a good investment. This is a great restoration car that would not require a huge amount of work as far as restorations go2. Primered 1973 Dodge Charger SE ID# WP29M3G150489This was the car destined for a resto mod and has A LOT of work and A LOT of money invested as it sits. Pictures were taken during the work process and will be supplied with the car. The entire car was dismantled and parts labeled for future identification. It was sand blasted before any repairs started. The louvered windows were removed and another parts car was purchased for the parts to install roll up/down rear quarter windows (that is the 3rd car). The b-pillar post has already been removed and the rain gutter has been installed for this already. The rear quarters on the car have been replaced. The driver’s rear quarter was replaced with a rust free used quarter. The passenger side was replaced with an aftermarket. Doors. fenders and hood all come with the car but are not currently installed. These parts have all been installed for a test fit before during and after quarter panel replacement to ensure alignment. The rear quarters are currently in a skim coat. The trunk lid and roof are sanded and ready for primer and block sanding. The rest of the car and doors have completed body work and are ready to be block sanded and finished. The underside of the car is done. It is covered in a quality bed liner and all the proper repairs have been made. The entire front suspension has been replaced and the k-member has also been refinished. All of the parts that were removed from the car will come with it including the drive train. This car. although not together. is very nice. As this car sits there is around $20K invested. It would not take much to finish and really have a nice car. 3. 1973 Multi-colored Dodge Charger ID# WH23G105582This is a clear title car but has been wrecked in the front. The fenders and hood are just sitting on the car which is why there is a strap around them. This car. like the other 3. come with the drivetrain intact although this car is just a 318 car. There are a lot of usable parts on this car and my primary use for it was the rear window assembly and to also use as a reference. This car could be fixed but it would be very expensive and timely. It is a great parts car. THE PARTSWAY TOO MANY TO LIST. I will touch on the basics but it is really a must see or ask. All of the parts removed from the primered car including separated and labeled fasteners so you know where that bolt goes. 4 extra fenders. 2 good trunk lids. 5 parts cars worth of chrome and stainless steel trim. misc wheels. 1 black bucket/bench seat which is rare. a standard bucket seat. several rear seats and all of the black interior plastic/vinyl out of the primered car. I did not picture this separately because it was all cleaned years ago and neatly wrapped and black plastic bags. The bags are all taped shut and I did not want to open all of them for pictures and have to wrap them all back up again. There are several bumper assemblies and one front bumper assembly from a 72 hideaway headlight car. The bumper from the 72 is damaged but I believe it is repairable. There is an original steel BULDGE HOOD. All of the steel lines from the primed car. Dashes. steering columns. HVAC boxes. fuel tanks. Hinges. window regulators. lots of glass. door lock parts and many more. If you look at the pictures the parts on the 30ft long shelf are all included less the deer feeder and bag of grass seed. There are also pictures of parts in my mezzanine that come with. In addition to these parts there are also many parts stored in the cars themselves. One Complete 400 CID engine. one Complete 318 engine and 2 transmissions also come with. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. PAYMENT AND SHIPPINGThe buyer is responsible to shipping. There are 3 cars here so if you are doing it yourself bring a big trailer! I can help with loading but you are responsible for the shipping arrangements. If you choose not to take 1 or 2 of the cars that is fine but the price does not change. Please let me know your intentions before picking up and I plan to have as many parts inside the cars as possible before you get here to eliminate the need to haul parts separately. If you do not want me to do this that is fine but let me know a head of time. Some items like fenders and bumpers will not fit inside of the cars. I will require a deposit of $500 immediately following the auction close. I am flexible on pick up time but prefer they be picked up no later than 2 weeks following the sale date. The cars are titled in my dealership’s name so sales tax of 8. 8% will be added for Kansas residents. Please send any questions via E-mail. If you prefer a phone call I can be reached at 785-633-7440. |
