Description of 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T

This car is hot! Born a real R/T, B-5 blue with factory air and 4-speed. Now updated with with modern Hemi and 5-speed, performance suspension, brakes, rear etc. This car is dialed in, from a very good seller. It includes 2 binders overstuffed with documentation with all the specs.
EXTERIOR: Factory born B-5 blue car. It's been repainted beautifully, has a glossy clear coat finish. They used premium PPG paint. The body is straight, all the lines are real good, fits nice. Jambs are neatly painted, has new weatherstrips. Upfront the grill has been restored, bumper is rechromed. Has the R/T powerbulge hood, factory antenna on the fender. Wheel well moldings, marker lights, emblems are new. Stainless moldings around the windows are all polished like chrome. New vinyl top. New tinted windshield. Rear window is crystal clear and tinted, side glass is tinted and has some minor scratches. Has R/T striping down the sides, sport mirrors and new chrome pop up gas cap. In back it has a spoiler on the trunk, the tail panel is restored, bumper is rechromed. It has some really cool digital LED sequential tail lights. It has a great looking muscle car stance and some brightly polished 15 inch Torque Thrust wheels. Hankook tires, bigger in back.
INTERIOR: It was completely gutted and restored. Dynamat sound deadener was applied to the floors. The carpets were replaced. New seat cushions and upholstery. New door panels, headliner, visors, pillars. Professionally restored dash pad, not a cheap plastic cover. Has the factory air condition vents. Upgraded Vintage Air electronic controls instead of cable. Instrument panel is replaced with carbon fiber. All new electronic gauge cluster including electric speedo. Has Autowire fuse block and wiring. Steering wheel has the original style Mopar spokes with a walnut rim. Console is excellent and of course it has the pistol grip shifter sticking out of it.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is where it gets real cool. It's updated with a modern 6.1 fuel injected Hemi Indy crate motor. Dyno tuned at 451 hp and 411 lbs of torque. Has CNC ported heads, roller cam, new Hemi ignition and TTI headers. New engine wiring harness. Has all the modern technology- serpentine belt system, K&N air induction, modern power steering with remote cooler. An aluminum radiator and dual electric fans keep it running cool. Has an external oil filter. Modern Gen IV Vintage Air system. New master cylinder and booster. New modern wiper motor. The engine bay is all clean metal painted blue. VIN number on the core support and the cowl match the dash. Has the original fender tag. I also noticed it looks like they used stainless hardware throughout the motor compartment.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Has Dynamat sound deadener applied in the trunk compartment. Also has a rubber mat. The battery has been relocated to the trunk, it's enclosed in a container. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted glossy. Has new weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: Upfront the suspension is completely rebuilt, has Fox gas shocks. In back it has been fitted with a custom triangulated 4 link suspension tubular control arms and Ridetech coil over adjustable gas shocks. Front and rear are attached with welded frame connectors to prevent twisting. Brakes are completely updated with Wilwood brake system. Has drilled and slotted discs at all four wheels, new lines, stainless braided hoses and new e-brake assembly. New fuel system including lines and tank with embedded pump compatible with the fuel injection. Bottom of the motor has an extra capacity, anodized Miloden oil pan and high torque starter. The trans is a Tremec 5-speed with new linkage and a hydraulic clutch. Custom driveshaft. All the power is put to the ground through a new 4.10 posi Moser modular 8 3/4 rear end. The 4.10 is great off the line, having the 5th gear in the trans makes it a great highway cruiser too. Great sounding fat, custom exhaust with an electric dump at the crossover pipe. New correct square tips come through the valance. The floors are clean and painted black.
This is an exciting car. Everything about it, the stance colors and features are ideal. Whoever buys it will be getting a great car ready to enjoy. It's a very rare car to begin with, some original literature is included too. I'll be jealous of the next owner!
