Description of 1969 Dodge Charger

Operation 1st patch Press Release Hemi Charger 500 for sale;

I have an opportunity to buy back a former Superbird I once owned that is now fully restored. Hence the reason I have placed this VERY rare and unique Charger 500 for sale for a one time situation. If it doesn't sell, then I am full bore with the continuations of it's restoration. It was built at the exact same time as the "1st" Charger 500. Truth to the matter there were 6 built simultaneously at Creative Industries to be sent off to Press Release duties for Dodge and the new 1969 Dodge Charger 500. Even if all 6 were not being built at the same time, this was with the 1st because that car's broadcast sheet was in my car and my broadcast sheet found in his. I was able to facilitate the reunion last year. After 50 years!!! the broadcast sheets were reunited with the cars their backseat cushions were taken out of (if you understand how the cars were built at Creative Industries).They were reunited last year when I was able to acquire my car and connect with the owner of the #610 car. The paint / body is gorgeous. I have a lot of NOS parts. The original 426 Hemi is with the car and is a fresh rebuild to OEM spec.

The car is a C5X black cloth/vinyl interior, am-fm radio and power windows. All 6 PR cars were outfitted the same with the exception of 3 were manual 4speeds and 3 727 autos. All 3 manual tranny cars are accounted for, mine is the only 727. It is more than likely the Bud Lindemann video car for the new 69 Charger 500, Mr. Galen Govier strongly agrees with that, we discussed this car for a while when came to my house to give me the original broadcast sheet he has been safe guarding for decades, thanks Galen. This isn't just a j-code Hemi Charger 500, it is one of the holy-grails of Mopar. Have original broadcast sheet and fender tag. All Charger 500's have a Vehicle Order Number (VON) that starts in 925***, mine is 925004... But, again, doesn't mean it was the 5th one built (lowest VIN has 925000). At the very least, my car was built along side the 1st, sooooo, there's a tie.. :-)

This car has been off the radar since 1982 when it was bought by the gentleman I bought it from.

I worked diligently with the paint and body shop to get the car back to factory, even with the body filler locations, the primer/over-spray method, an other facets of a Mopar, especially with the Charger ( hate lower rear vlance gaps filled it !!).. I have also acquired various NOS parts for the restoration, i.e. grille center and one bezel, HEMI badges for the doors which are next to impossible to find, side marker lights, rear taillamp panel chrome surrounds, etc. I have a complete working power windows assembly to go with the car's existing system. All the special and unique Charger 500 trim and wind deflectors are there... The "500" stripe is off it now.. That picture was taken by the body shop but couldn't get the bubbles out, so I told them to just remove it. I have another one from Performance Car Graphics

Opened to potential offers of a 4speed Superbird AND another cool Mopar [v-code '70 Charger R/T, A12 Runner, 4speed T/A's, you get the gist. I'm not going to give this up for just a Superbird, it is much more unique than that. This is a Charger 500 of high pedigree. Not knocking 'Birds, just saying they made many more. Selling locally too, so have the right to end auction if someone steps up.
