Description of 1958 Dodge Lancer |
This is an extremely rare and desirable 1958 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer 2 dr hardtop. This Custom Royal was ordered with many upgrades: a one-year-only offering high performance big block 350 cubic inch; 300 horse 4 bbl engine with 10-1 compression; front disc brakes; and dual exhausts. It also has new exhaust and new mufflers. A brand new Dana 60 differential has been installed for a quiet and smooth performance. It was the ultimate Cruiser performance car, so it might be a miracle that it only has 54,000 miles. It's really only out powered by the D500 with dual Fours. The “Spring Special†trim package includes the extra wide full length belt moldings, chrome fin extensions, an over sized chrome license plate frame on the trunk deck, and a unique grille emblem--a very pricey option that was only available after the mid year. It was also ordered with the deluxe two-tone trim: poppy red roof, fins, and trunk lid. The iconic twin rear antennas and dual side mirrors complete the appearance of this beautiful car. This rust free Royal is an unrestored original beauty with a near mint condition interior thanks to its seat covers. It still has its hardboard headliner and chrome moldings in perfect condition. The exterior trim is nearly flawless on both sides of the car, and the bumper chrome quality is excellent. The car drives like a dream with lots of power through the factory dual exhausts and new wide, white radials. *We highly recommend each car is inspected by a third party prior to purchase https://www.soneffs.com/product-page/1958-dodge-royal-red |
