Description of 1972 Dodge Charger Super Bee |
Up for auction is my 1972 Dodge Charger. Previous owner fixed it up a bit with a Super Bee Stripe kit, Rear wing, Hood scoop etc. Really does look pretty good. Very straight body. Very solid body. Super Bee package was not offered in 1972, was in 1971. Pretty much same body style. Has the very cool hideaway headlight grill. Details....... This is a numbers match 318, Automatic transmission car. The engine now has a 4 barrel intake with 4 barrel carburetor. Headers. Aftermarket valve covers etc. See picture. Runs good! I found the build sheet under the rear seat! Has the fender tag too. Factory GF3 Metallic green with factory bucket seats and console. Rear defog and rear speaker switches on dash. Factory air conditioned car. Tinted glass is original and does have scratches. A/C Compressor is in a box. Power steering and power brakes. AM Radio. All gauges work! The car runs and drives very good. Steers good and handles the road good through the Radial T/A's. Power brakes feel great. Turns easy. Accelerates like no body's business! Does have ample power with the modifications on that small block. The past owner added the Super Bee stripes, hood scoop, the hood was cut under it, rear wing, loud dual exhaust, with tail pipes that hang out the back. Has vintage leaf spring shackels, air shocks. He painted the front and rear bumpers to match the car. All this can be changed out if desired. It really does look good. Compliments very where I go. Just as much as I get with my Hemi Roadrunner! 14' BF Goodrich Radial T/A's on factory Mopar rallye wheels. Great shape. The body is very straight looking down the sides. I did take a magnet to the entire body and found it to be very solid. I see no bondo bubbles anywhere. The paint job is older, still looks real good with a nick chip or ding here and there. Nothing real noticeable. There is a bit of rust by the hood hinges. The trunk floor is amazing and the rear quarters appear to be original. Factory under coated car. See under body pictures. This is a toy someone build to look good and have fun. They hot rodded it a little, but not to the point of no return, if you so desire to change anything back. It is a numbers matching car! Other than the hood scoop, I consider it tastefully done. Great body color with the flat black stripes really does look cool. A great entry level desirable pre '73 American Mopar that wont break your budget. You have to ask yourself... what do you get in a early 70's Mopar for under 25K? The '72 Charger is a valuable and desirable car, if you like this body style. The car runs and drives good. Will need a few things to bring it up to par. The blinkers/ brake /tail lights are a bit dim, the hideaway front headlights need opened manually. Radio doesn't work. Fuel gauge works most the time. The exhaust tail pipes stick out too far and need to chopped shorter. Glass is original although not cracked, they have scratches. A chip nick or ding. drips a bit here and there. It's a fun driver. I personal did check the numbers on the engine and transmission and they are original to the car. I own several high end Mopars. I have a Nebraska resale certificate to keep my hobby legal here. I have a clear Nebraska title and all paperwork will be handled correctly as per Nebraska law. I bought this from a local guy who fell on hard times and am ready to sell. The car is sold AS IS.I have a very reasonable reserve on the car. 0 or low feedback or negative feedback EBAY members must contact me by messaging me prior to bidding. Or I will delete your bid.
