Description of 1970 Dodge Charger R/T

Stunning! Factory bright red R/T without a vinyl roof. #s match 440 Magnum, original fender tag decoded by Galen Govier. Also listed in the registry. Ground up restored. I personally drove, it was great!
EXTERIOR: I think this is the best looking Charger I've seen. All red with no vinyl top, a bumblebee stripe and a big set of chrome Magnum wheels. I can tell you the fit and finish was never this good on a Mopar when they were new. This R/T looks laser straight from every angle. All the body panels fit completely square and flush. It is smooth everywhere, I don't feel any bubbles or issues. The paint is very slick. Jambs are painted real nice, bottom of the doors are clean. Has original vin # sticker on the door. Upfront that big bumper is rechromed, the grill is restored, hideaway lights work. The rubber seal behind the bumper looks good. It has real the scoops on the doors with new R/T emblems. The mirror and handles look new. All the stainless trim around the windows and on top of the doors is straightened and polished. Pop up gas cap looks new. In back the bumper is rechromed, taillight is in excellent shape. Weather strips were replaced. It has a new set of extra wide, 15 inch Magnum 500 wheels with a set of BFGoodrich tires.
INTERIOR: It's real nice inside the car too. The seats have new cushions and upholstery. The door panels and armrests look new. The dash pad is mint, the instrument area is in excellent shape. The wood grain, padded glove box door, knobs and gauges are clean. Nothing cracked or broken, even has the original AM radio in the factory hole. It has the Rallye gauges with tachometer. They all function, even the clock. The carpet looks, new, has embroidered R/T floor mats. The headliner looks new, fits tight. Dome light, console lights and glovebox light works. New glove box liner. Nice original console.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Definitely a show quality motor compartment. The metal is really nice and clean, it's all been painted gloss red just like the exterior. The bottom of the hood is painted gloss red, the latches are detailed. Complete with hood insulation, the rubber seal and the hood mounted turn signals. The original fender tag has been decoded by Galen Govier and is attached to the car, the vin # on the core support matches the car. The original 440 Magnum motor is stamped 440 HP. It has been upgraded with an aluminum intake and dual feed Holley carburetor with electric choke. On top it has the dual snorkel air cleaner with a 440 Magnum pie tin. The valve covers and alternator are upgraded with chrome. It also has a set of ceramic coated headers. Distributor and wires look new. Hoses, shroud and clutch fan are proper. The wiper motor looks restored. It has a new power brake system. The squirters are hooked up.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Big solid trunk compartment. Neatly painted gray spatter finish. New mat. The tail light housing cover is real good. The bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted real slick. New weatherstrip and jacking instructions decal. The spare is a brand new matching Magnum 500 wheel and BFGoodrich tire.
UNDERSIDE: The front end was completely apart, rebuilt and detailed. New shocks front and back. Looking up at the motor it is spotless. Has a chrome oil pan. The paint and freeze plugs are fresh. New high torque starter. The casting codes and dates were verified on the block, the matching vin # is stamped near the oil pan. The 727 Torqueflite trans looks fresh too. In back it has new fuel tank and sending unit. The bottom of the car appears to be real solid, cleaned and resprayed black. Frame rails look good, behind the rear tires still has it's original drain plugs. Upgraded with disc brakes in front, e-brake assembly is complete.
I think very highly of this car, the fit and finish is truly impressive. My father just looked at it and guessed $125,000 because it is so beautiful. It is the real deal too, documented. This is a rare chance to buy one of the best looking Chargers anywhere!
