Description of 1969 Dodge Charger |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1969 Dodge Charger. Just painted, super straight beautiful paint. This car is a perfect candidate for a Gen III Hemi conversion with an alterkation or keep it stock suspension with the 383 and 727 in the car. Please inspect all the pictures accordingly for condition of the car and specifically what still needs to be done to get it on the road. Body work is super straight. Engine was running great when pulled 3 months ago from another one of my cars, a strong peppy 383 that would do perfect in this car. 727 transmission. Original grill is the best 1969 one I've had, it does have some imperfections please see pics. I did not restore it. And new ones are available obviously. The seats are the original covers, painted with vinyl paint, obviously not recovered yet, but will be in the car. The hood and trunk lid condition before paint was super nice, NO metal work had to be done to either of those which is a rarity. The nicest charger hood and deck lid I've owned actually. This car was being built as a driver quality car, not a show car, but looks great!All side glass is there along with the mechanisms. Driver door and quarter popped off the tracks, passenger I don't remember, just plan to replace those pesky bottom plastic pins and grease the mechanisms good - youtube has the vids on disassembly and reassembly on what to do. Your choice of the wheels shown in the pics. The vectors are original old school ones with imperfections, sell for a lot actually. But I like the more race ready look. OR go with your 17" wheels for the restomod look. Also, if you want General Lee Decals I can include those for another $250. I have a good recent set, BUT this car will look legit with a "bumble bee" stripe on the back also. Any way you do it, will be awesome! Headliner is included in the auction (uninstalled). AlthoughI might have it installed when you buy the car as work continues when I can find time. PLEASE BE ADVISED. My feedback for the past 15 years has been perfect at 100% on all of my sales of higher end cars, classics, and toys. Always 100%. The Ebay user named "yamahamopar440" left me bad feedback on a running 1970 for like $4K I sold 4 months ago, never contacted me with an issue, and left me negative feedback on probably the lowest priced car I've ever sold on Ebay because it had rust, even though I said it was a 50 year old car and had rust. And since Ebay can't remove since it is past 90 days I'm stuck with this feedback for a year until it recalculates. One in every crowd I guess...Quarters were replaced by previous owner, trunk filler panel replaced, trunk floor also replaced you can see the split seam down the middle as it is a 2 piece assembly. Floors have been patched. Doors were very good. All side glass, rear window, are included. The front bumper is only painted chrome, it needed to be re-plated and honestly I just buy new ones on these cars. Instrument cluster included, but that's about all I have for the dash. I always discard the old deformed stuff and buy new plastic and pads etc - sorry. This vehicle will need some parts so look closely I’m selling as-s, if you don't see it in the pics I don't have it. However the car is in progress and check pics frequently as they will change so more is constantlybeing done to the car. The car has "Fat-mat/Rattle Trap" insulationinstalled on the floor and has new carpet. Seat covers are original, painted with vinyl paint.I do have a set of door panels and I can include some uppers, yes you can paint them with the same vinyl paint but I personally would just buy the interior stuff from Classic or Year One. Spend a little on the interior, it's worth it!I will include a rear glass and windshield. Not installed. So I would plan to ship enclosed!Would not take much to get this car driveable. Drums are front and rear, all lines were removed. The underside of the car was reinforced with frame stiffeners, subframe connectors, and caps along the front. Be sure to look at the pictures carefully and feel free to inspect or have someone inspect on your behalf BEFORE bidding. Front frame rails appear capped on 3 sides, torque boxes capped on 3 sides, and subframe connectors back to rear perches. No caps on rear frame rails. All cap work, not the prettiest welds frankly, but looks super strong. This car is stout. As with any B body, they rust, the floors were clearly patched before as were the rrear wheel houses and the trunk has the split seam down the middle indicating it was replaced. Again, all subframe, trunk, quarter, and floor work was done before me, but the quarters and the trunk floor were sanded down to metal before body work, my painter likes to build up from metal not on top of someone else'swork. The good news is it is a stout b body that in my opinion can handle horsepower, that's why I originally bought it for a 6.4 gen iii hemi conversion. But if you are a purist who likes the original b body underneath and the twist with the original unibody that's 50 years old then please do not buy this car. If you want something that should be able to handle the torque and horsepower of Gen III Hemi's, then this is an excellent candidate. The underneath of the car was sand blasted to remove as much of the old undercoat as possible, and then resprayed with undercoat, rust would have blow through during that process so it's a good car.As I said before, there are things that this car is missing, if you don't see it in the pics (with the exception of the front seats and rear seat and console) then I do not have it. The hood is off the car, but is painted and is obviously included.Hood is off of the car, but will be installed before the car is picked up. Leaving off in case I have to pull the engine for a potential buyer. Trunk lid will be placed on car soon.I will include the new headliner (uninstalled), rear package tray and I will install the original seats before car leaves. Be sure to please check back for updated pics. I'm still working on the car, but obviously price will continue to go up as more work is done!Please contact me with any questions on the car, it is for sale locally and seller reserves the right to cancel the auction at any time.And obviously, more work can be done to the car - but that is outside of this auction and would need to be negotiated as such and after a completed purchase of this car. Clear Texas Title, my name. Non-Refundable Deposit due within 24 hours, Payment in full within 7 days. Check your prices on what metal work costs, paint jobs cost these days, much less 1969 Charger bodies, so please - Serious inquires and questions only. I can provide a name of a great enclosed carrier, and I have a broker in Houston I can recommend that I've used for 7 years. More pics will be added in the coming days and seller reserves the right to continue to finish more on the car as typically it makes me 3 listings to finally have a real buyer. Thanks again and happy bidding, Here's a snapshot of my typical Feedback as a seller:
