Description of 1962 Dodge Other Pickups "Power Giant" |
Please Check Out My Other Auctions!1962 Dodge "Power Giant" D100 Town Wagon These trucks are a really Rare Find 52 years after production and an even Rarer Find in the Excellent Condition this truck is in! This truck was purchased new at McKeon Motors. Inc. in El Paso. Tx. (Dry Desert Area) on February 21. 1962 by a company called The Commonwealth Plan. Inc. The truck was in El Paso for most of it's existence but eventually left town for Lone Pine. CA. not very far from the famous Death Valley desert area where it remained until late in 2009 when it was sold to a guy in Northern Ohio. From there it quickly changed hands to another guy in that same area who made his living as a professional Chrysler mechanic. and as soon as he got the truck home he started going through the whole truck mechanically and rebuilding the engine. replacing the clutch & pressure plate. replacing all of the brake system with new parts and going though the front end with any new parts that were needed. All of this work was done less than 1. 00 miles ago. This truck can drive safely and dependably anywhere you want to go but maybe not as comfortable as you might be used to traveling! I have been under this truck and power washed the complete underside. There is absolutely no rust problems with this truck that I have seen other than some very light surface rust in some areas. I bought the truck 3 years ago with some really big plans to do the whole Pro Mod thing to it but my enthusiasm has since faded as I just have too many other projects in life. I will reduce the final purchase price of the truck by $700. 00 if the buyer would prefer that I keep the new Chrome Magnum 500 wheels and center caps and the Radial T/A's off the truck and sell it with the original wheels and hub caps on it. Otherwise. both sets of wheels will come with the truck for the final bidding price. I have included one picture of the truck with its original wheels and hub caps on it. I do have some other pictures of the truck. so if you're interested in buying it and would like to see more pictures please give me a call. If you have any questions call Scott at (405) 203-4441 or email me at pentastarcars@cox. net Please don't bid on my truck unless you are serious about owning it and have the means to pay for it! |
