Description of 1947 Dodge Custom Series D-22

1947 Dodge D-24, 4 door sedan, 51,000 mile original car with awesome patina!! Mechanically maintained and daily driven in summer by a hot rod shop owner that is good friends with us. Over the last year it has had new brakes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, tune up, carb rebuild, fuel pump and a battery. The tires are all in great shape and have brand new tubes all around! All the gauges work with the exception of the fuel gauge that is intermittent. Heater, wipers, lights all work like they should. Suicide doors, killer patina and a little rust here and there all add to the characterof the car. This thing is a great entry level and dependable car that gets non-stop attentionwherever it goes! Leave it as is, make it a hot rod/rat rod and drive it while you decide the next steps to take! All the trim is there (a couple pieces are in the trunk). This thing is a riot to drive, takes you right back to the 40s as soon as you jump in!Great running and driving original car.
