Vehicle Details If you’re looking for a great running and driving 1968 Dodge Charger, …this may be one you’ve been waiting for! …Yes, the headlights open and close as they should! DRIVE TRAIN: The engine is the original stock 318” V8, with an automatic transmission and an 8-3/4” open rear end. The engine starts easily with the turn of the key. It idles smoothly and accelerates as expected. Exhaust sounds good. The transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears. -I only drove it a few times, but it had no problems getting up to highway speeds. The car has power steering, and the manual drum brakes stop the car as it should. BODY: The front and rear frame rails look very good. The whole interior floor looks refreshingly solid. The trunk pan has rust and should be replaced (see pics). Due to being stored with a plastic tarp on the roof, the car will need a new outer roof skin, which is available through AMD. Yes, the car has some rust in other areas, but that is to be expected on most any 54 year old car. All of the glass is present and in good condition. INTERIOR: The Original ‘68 Charger seats are in Amazingly Good Condition! The console looks respectable. The carpet is present, but should be replaced. The headliner has been removed. The top dash pad has a couple cracks, but the lower pads look good. The door cards and the rear upper pads look good. The door upper pads were missing from before I owned the car. The previous owner had this car for nearly 30 years, 10 of which were stored without use. He stated that the miles were “original” on this car, but I cannot verify it. NOTE: This car is listed for sale on other sites, so I reserve the right to end this listing at any time. Contact me if you have any questions. Thanks, and Happy Bidding!
